'Spit In My Face' says The Famous Rabble-Rouser
Spit in my face says Anwar Ibrahim if Pakatan Rakyat (PR) fails to bring change if given the mandate to rule the country.Well, that is not going to happen soon because even if PAS were to win the Kuala Trengganu (KT) by-election Puterajaya would still be a distant dream.
Earlier, he branded UMNO same as the Jews, atrociously cruel to the rakyat by punishing them for choosing Pakatan Rakyat. Then he tries to hood-wink the Chinese voters in KT by telling them PAS talk of bringing in hudud law if PR comes to power is only applicable to Muslims.PAS itself have never said that.
Than you have his comrade-in-arm DAP Chairman Karpal Singh who said his claim of hudud laws only applicable to Muslims and no others, is a fallacy. It means that Karpal Singh is calling him a liar because he knows what he told the people of KT is not true. For many months he kept quiet on the issue, refused to comment on PAS proclamation of hudud law.Suddenly, he is inspired again that KT, maybe, his carriage to Puterajaya.
Any right thinking Malaysians can read what PAS intention of hudud laws are.Once they are in power hudud laws would be a reality for all Malaysians.
The non-Muslims are dreaming if they think PAS is going to care about them, their culture and their religions once they took over power.Even now, before they gain any central power, they are already protesting against rock concerts, the attire of artistes and hypocritical of anything that doesn't reflect Islamic values.
Anwar is a man with only one mission, to be prime minister of this country. He is of the same product that many of you wanted to change.UMNO is part of his handiwork and sculpture. His Wawasan Team in UMNO embolden him to topple Mahathir. He has the uncanny ability of talking you into total submission, a powerful orator with nothing more than rabble-rousing.
Just hope his dream doesn't come true, there will be 26 million Malaysians spitting on him, more than enough to drown him.

Mahathir's Clarion Call:Boycott America ?
Hahahaha......Boycott US products? What a laughable matter.
Former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad called for a boycott of American's products. Can we ?
Some bloggers have jumped on the band wagon and very excitedly bandied the former premier clarion call to stop buying US made goods.Easier said than done.
One over-zealous blogger have assembled a list of popular American brands we should boycott as shown in the box below.

For every Malaysians, our lives are very much immerse in two foreign brands which are almost impossible to avoid, Japanese and American. These two have made us unbearably dependent on their products.Just look around us if we can actually proudly say anything in our households are truly authentic Malaysian made goods, they are either Japanese, American or European. They may be made in Malaysia but they are not Malaysian products.Others, like the Korean and Chinese still comprises small segment of the all the products we used.
Those bloggers who supported Dr Mahathir's call probably forgot they are blogging on American products. If you boycott America than you have to stop using computers, computer's software and all the American made blogs and not forgetting the Internet. Can you? Our former premier probably didn't realise that he himself is a blogger and very deeply involved in using American products.
Even the list of products and companies prepared by the over-zealous blogger, whoever he is, is a pool of errors.Take for example the company L'Oreal. It is not an American company, it is a French/Swiss conglomerate. The major shares are held by the Bettencourt family of France and Nestle of Switzerland. Mark & Spencer is a British retailer with headquarters in London. It is not an American company.Carrefour is a French international hypermarket, it is not American. There are many more that I need not list here that are not American. Are we supposed to boycott the rest of the Western world too? Than you may have to stop driving your Mercedes,BMWs,Porsche and other European made cars.I understand one of Mahathir's sons hold the agency for Porsche, maybe, he can give up the agency too.
Maybe, we should try sanctions. Don't sell any of our products to them and see how long we can stand on our own two feet.
Don't get me wrong, I would have supported Mahathir if I find it practical.Likewise, I am very much against what happened in Gaza and have written two articles condeming America just few days ago.Going by the response the average Malaysians are not interested in Gaza or cares about the Palestinians, they are more interested in what going to happen in Kuala Trengganu on 17 January.
My guess is, it could go either way.
The Vulnerable Housewives
AIDS or HIV is like four letter word to a lot of people. Many still do not understand the disease.Aids victims often experience social ostracism and discrimination making them outcasts of society. Not all are responsible for the affliction. Some got it unknowingly from those they trusted. The innocent ones are mostly housewives who contracted it from their husbands who are licentious and chutzpah.
A doctor friend of mine sent me through email an article on the state of HIV and AIDS in Malaysia. The article was published in the Star on Sunday 4 January 2009.
It is also surprising to note that the states with the highest incident of HIV and AIDS are predominantly Muslim states of Kelantan, Trengganu and Kedah.Whether poverty and lack of education had a role to play in the high incidents of this heinous disease is difficult to say.Religion does not teach one to be reckless, in fact Islam forbids premarital sex and sex outside the marital sphere.
In any culture men have the tendency to stray but the degree seems to differ from one culture to another.Has culture got something to do with it? Maybe, maybe not ?
In majority of Muslim homes any discussion on sex is taboo and considered rude.Mothers don't talk to their daughters on any subject related to sex with a view to educating them.Just because Islam forbids premarital sex, there is no need to warn their daughters of the dangers of indulgence at young age, safely assuming that no such thing would happen to the girls. You often hear thing like we don't do this kind of thing because we are Muslims. That's probably is the most fallacious understanding of human desire, self-deception and living in total state of self denial.Sometimes, human desire can overwhelm even the most sensible of adult, let alone the young and restless.
A good example of how society can change with the influence of those in absolute power was Charles II of England. Before his reign, the Puritans had enacted several laws prohibiting sexual deviances, which carried harsh punishments. Charles' rake tendency and decadent relations with several women had an effect on his subjects. There were sudden change in the behaviour of his subjects where sex outside the matrimonial homes were no more taboo or a social stigma.
The writer has done an excellent job to write without, fear or favour, on the true HIV and AIDS situation in the country. It is now for the government to take up preventive measures on how to lessen the impact of the disease or before it becomes an epidemic as in the case of some African countries.Sex education may be the answer to this problem.
For my readers who have missed the one in the Star, below is the article.
Vulnerable housewives
SHARING THE NATION BY ZAINAH ANWAR
Women have moved from those least affected by HIV to those among whom the disease is spreading the fastest.
WHILE the number of men newly infected by HIV has decreased steadily in the past 10 years, the number of women and girls infected has seen a steep increase in Malaysia.
Women have moved from those least affected by HIV to those among whom the disease is spreading the fastest.
While most men are infected through injecting drugs, most infections among women occur through heterosexual intercourse. What is sad, but not shocking, is the fact that the most at risk category of women are housewives.
The just released Ministry of Health and Unicef report on “Women and Girls Confronting HIV and AIDS in Malaysia” revealed that in 2004, 44% of all women reported with HIV were housewives. In 2007, each month recorded an average of 28 housewives newly infected with HIV.
Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan, the three overwhelmingly Malay majority states in the country, recorded the biggest numbers of housewives infected. Kelantan has the dubious honour of recording the highest number – 379 cases as of December 2007. In Johor, it is estimated that 90% of HIV cases detected among women and young girls are Malay housewives.
Marriage is obviously no protection from HIV infection for a woman, even when she is monogamous and stays home as the dutiful wife and mother.
High-risk group
Being a housewife in Malaysia, a Malay housewife especially, has become a high-risk occupation in the context of the HIV and AIDs epidemic.
All research on women’s vulnerabilities to HIV infection points to gender inequalities as the key driver to this global epidemic, which now sees women constituting 50% of people living with HIV.
While the MOH-Unicef report acknowledges Malaysia’s progress in the empowerment of women, this effort is undermined by continuing gender inequality and, in particular, women’s subservient role in relationships.
Even then, the report finds that female sex workers are able to better protect themselves compared with housewives as they are able to negotiate the use of condoms during sexual intercourse.
A 2006 nationwide survey which examined knowledge, attitudes and risk behaviour in Malaysia found that almost all surveyed understood the nature of HIV and AIDS and knew the common routes of HIV transmission. Yet, translating this knowledge into behaviour change and safe practices remains a formidable challenge, confounded by social, cultural and religious expectations and norms, the report stated.
Thus, even if women have access to information and merchandise, for e.g. condoms, gender norms that prescribe an unequal and passive role for women in sexual decision-making undermine women’s autonomy, expose many to sexual coercion, and prevent them from insisting on abstinence or condom use by their male partners. A religious belief that women must be obedient and cannot say no to sex with her husband further increases their vulnerabilities.
At the same time, gender norms related to masculinity encourage men to equate manhood with dominance over women, sexual conquest and risk-taking, and for older men to have sexual relations with much younger women.
Launching the MOH-Unicef report, Datuk Seri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz Tuanku Sultan Abdul Halim, chairperson of the Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation, said the socio-economic factors underlying women’s vulnerability to HIV cannot be adequately addressed without the involvement and support of men willing to speak out against violence towards women and refraining from sexual behaviour that puts women and girls at risk.
The good news about this report is the fact that the Government has endorsed its analysis and has recognised the feminisation of the HIV epidemic in Malaysia.
The not-so-good news is the fact that policies are being announced to “protect women” that are not recognised as solutions to the problems. Enough has been written about the ineffectiveness of mandatory premarital testing which is done without the three requirements for testing to be effective and ethical – consent, counselling and confidentiality.
It also gives couples who test negative a false sense of security, as no post-test counselling is provided about safe behaviour. Or the virus was in gestation during testing and thus was undetected. The fact is that infections do occur later in marriage and younger children are born infected. Discriminatory beliefs
What is even more peculiar in Malaysia is that premarital mandatory testing is adopted not as a health policy, but a religious policy, driven not by evidence-based research but by ideology.
As Marina Mahathir wrote in her blog, for as long as women are unable to refuse sex with their husbands even when they suspect their husbands may be HIV+, they will be unable to protect themselves from infection.
The Government is expected to set up a task force to draw up national plans to address the steep increase in HIV infections among women. I can only hope that the task force will take the bull by the horns and confront the issue of gender inequality and discrimination comprehensively as a major strategy to halt the trend.
Research in various countries shows that social norms that promote gender inequality, such as those that encourage men to have multiple sexual partners or to maintain control over the behaviour of their female partners, increase both young men and young women’s risk of HIV, STIs (sexually transmitted infections), and partner violence.
It is a proven fact that gender inequalities are shaping the way the HIV epidemic evolves. Thus, changing gender norms is increasingly recognised as an important strategy to prevent the spread of HIV.
One research tool which measures attitudes toward “gender-equitable” norms is now widely used to provide information on prevailing norms in a community and the effectiveness of any programme that hopes to influence them.
In research done in Brazil, India, Botswana, and Swaziland, it is found that the more discriminatory beliefs an individual holds (e.g. “Women should worry less about their rights and more about becoming good wives and mothers”; “There are times when a woman deserves to be beaten”; “A man should have the final word about decisions in his home”), the higher the likelihood of him having unprotected sex with a non-marital partner or to have multiple sexual partners than those without such attitudes.
Women’s empowerment and progress over the decades show that norms can change. What is needed is leadership and political will to drive the change. Intervention programmes to change gender attitudes, promote sexually responsible and non-violent male behaviour have shown to work.
While change at the individual behavioural level is important, it is not enough. What is also needed is change at the institutional level. Men still dominate our political, economic and social structures.
The challenge is: How do we get men in power who make laws and policies that discriminate against women, who sanction bad behaviour in society by behaving badly themselves, men in uniform who shape young men’s gender attitudes, practices and sexual lives, to start becoming a part of the solution to end gender inequalities that are actually harmful to both men and women, family and society at large?
Research demonstrates that people are not mere products of gender norms – they are active constructors and contesters of them.
As the reality on the ground changes, as women become wage earners in record numbers and contribute to sustaining the family financially, as women increasingly become the sole providers and protectors of families as heads of households, as women become leaders and decision-makers, men’s sense of entitlement to power over women must necessarily change.
The time has come for men in power, men in the family and men in the community to acknowledge the changing realities on the ground and join hands with women to change norms and values so that women are treated as human beings of equal worth and dignity. If we are equal in the eyes of God, why do we remain unequal before men?

Iraq,Afghanistan And Gaza Crisis:Have America Ever Won A War ?
The American and the Jews did it again.
This time they have probably disturbed a bigger hornet's nest.
There will be implosion of Islamic fervour to hit back at the West. The imminent increase in terrorists activities when Muslim militants unleashed their anger against the West for what had happened in Gaza would not only endanger the Western countries but also other parts of the world where security is less vigilant.
The American and the Jews never seemed to have learned anything from their experience of 9/11 and other terror attacks or they are just too arrogant. It seems like, if you Muslim killed one of us we will kill hundreds of you or we will invade you country and teach you a lesson that you would never forget in a thousand years. It appears to be the policy of the mighty US and Israel against weak Muslim nations.
Most Muslims nations are weak and it is of their own making.Corruption of all descriptions and dimensions are causes of their weaknesses.Hamas has to carry some of the blame for the flare-up and invasion of Gaza.It is their stupidity that have brought Israeli's invasion.
The US believe they are the only superpower left in the world after the breakup of the Soviet Union and no other country have the same military capability to take them on to stop their aggression.
The invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan were most unwarranted. How the American lied about the WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction) in Iraq as an excuse to go after Saddam Hussein and destroy the country's infrastructures.Have they achieved what they are supposed to do in Iraq? After having killed hundred of thousands of Iraqis, have Iraq becomes a peaceful and prosperous nation under the American appointed puppet government?
The invasion of Iraq was launched in March 2003 and after 5 years the country is still in a state of turmoil and lawlessness.Getting killed by militants bullet or suicide bombing are common occurrences in the streets of Baghdad and elsewhere in the country.Yet the American had the cheek to say that they came to save the Iraqis from Saddam and bring peace to the country. They built a fortress for themselves in Baghdad to protect against militants attack and let poor Iraqi civilians be the victims.
The whole of Afghanistan's population suffered and many innocent civilians killed during the bombings and military invasion of the country..... just to get one man, Osama Bin Laden and his al-Qaeda. After killing thousands of innocent Afghans they still have not caught or killed Osama.Even if Osama had been killed, which I believe so, the American must have kept it a secret so they can keep their presence in the country as long as possible.
The Taliban, whether you like it or not was the legitimate government at the time of the invasion and whom they have fought with and removed from power and replaced with their puppets and cronies. The invasion was launched in October 2001 and the war has been going on for seven years. Was there peace in Afghanistan? You hear of people getting blown up by suicide bombers or shot by militants or shot by American soldiers almost every day.
To keep the war going the US have decided to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban.Just imagine what a horrible and badly planned military stratagem and military generals they have. For seven years, with their sophisticated weaponry and equipments they can't even fight and vanquish the Taliban foot soldiers. These are soldiers who are only armed with AK47 and rickety rocket launchers and occasionally drive ramshackle Toyota Land Cruisers.Even with their unsophisticated weapons and limited military training the Taliban had managed to re-grouped and taken back certain part of their country.
They have also infiltrated into Pakistan and are in control of some provinces in the northern part of the country bordering Afghanistan. There is strong fear in Pakistan that the Taliban might take over the town of Peshawar at any time and some even believe the fall of the city to the Taliban is imminent.Peshawar sits on the strategic supply route to Afghanistan. It would be a prize catch for the Taliban.
The war and atrocities committed by the Jews in Gaza are going to inflame Islamist's anger and passion for vengeance and the Islamic militants that would be the first to rise to embolden the strike would be in Afghanistan and Pakistan. There would also be attempts to cause massive damage to lives and properties in other places especially where there are big concentration of American and European and in those areas less vigilant and alert to take precautions against terrorist attacks.
We are all impressed by the American military wares, their huge aircraft carriers, battle ships, tanks, fighter jets and hundreds of other different kind of weaponry. From their nuclear submarines to their stealth bombers, they have the most awesome killing machines, unrivalled to any other nations.
Have the American ever actually won a war? Other than dropping the two H-Bomb on Japan to end the Second World War, which conventional war have they won? With The Korean War, they managed to split the country into two, which was not a victory by any sense. In Vietnam they fought for more than 10 years and was finally trashed by the Vietcong and the North Vietnamese Army like dogs and have to run home with their tails in between their legs.In Afghanistan, they have been in the country seven years and the Taliban is gaining strength and making a come back, believe me, they will be defeated. You can fight guns but you can't fight ideals. That's what 'Pashtunwali' is all about, ideals. In Iraq, they have been in there five years and they are still rummaging through their drawers looking for the battle plan. They have already killed more than enough Iraqis and still couldn't figure out why there are still militants wanting to kill them and people dying on the streets blown up by bombs that they have no bloody idea where it coming from.
That tells you how mighty America has one of the most useless military in the world and with all their sophisticated weaponry and military strategists they still couldn't sought out their enemies.
If they had not dropped the H-Bomb on Japan, all of us including them would probably be living under a Japanese empire. The only war they have ever won was in Hollywood. They can only fight in a war using their high flying bombers to bomb indiscriminately killing innocent civilians on the ground.Put them to fight in a conventional war, they are fucked.
Look what happened in Gaza. The aerial bombing that kill women, children and other innocent civilians. It makes your blood boil to see those dead and dying children in the arms of their parents. We live in the twenty-first century yet this kind of things were allowed to happen. The Jews have learned from them how to conduct a war without engaging the enemies.Just strafe the civilian population and hope it would kill some of the enemies.
I would like to quote Liaqat Ali Toor, a retired brigadier from the Pakistan Army who said "Terrorism will continue to breed so long as the world's leading powers treat the humanity of weaker nations as less human than their own citizens,"
That's What America is all about, it treats citizens of poorer nations like shit, so it's alright to let them die or kill them.
I hope Obama takes note of this and not let power gotten into his head like the maniacal Bush who is a wolf in sheep's clothing, a white supremacist hiding under the skirt of his wife.
