Zunar: In Very Bad Taste !

Hantu Laut

Some Malaysians can laugh at this unpalatable satire if one wish to call it one but satire it is not.

It's political muck-racking and libel of the worst kind. False, malicious and done in very bad taste.

Zunar thinks he is smart by changing the names and characters. The whole world knew who he was referring to in his malicious animated cartoon.

I am sure many Malaysians are outraged by this man overzealousness to serve his political masters.

This slam-bang cartoon may have the opposite effect, help Najib gains more sympathy and help him to get into more trouble, if Najib and Rosmah decide to  pursue a legal course.

Obviously, Zunar's head has swelled after his partial victory in court.

He should not put himself in the same mould as Western cartoonists, who are impartial, balanced and professionally driven while he is unprofessional and biased.

His bad satires are only confined to attacking the PM and other government leaders in BN.

Aren't Pakatan Rakyat running 4 state governments? Are they so perfect that he could not find any fault with them?

One should ask him why his works is one-sided, attacked only Najib and the BN government and have never attacked Anwar Ibrahim and the opposition?

Read here what he said about cartoonists in Malaysia, portrayed himself as the hero in Malaysia's cartoon fraternity.

Lat, is a better cartoonist, more humorous in his caricatures and satires compared to his crude and unamused political lampoons. He has not been given due recognition by the cartoonists' world as they have given Lat.

A friend came to visit me sometime last year and gave me a copy of his cartoon book which, not to offend my friend, I kept it for a while. It is now somewhere in the rubbish dump.

I don't find his cartoons funny at all.

Wandering Sikhs

Foreign Policy

The world was shocked by the murder of six people after a gunman stormed a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin on Aug. 5, opening fire on those gathered for morning services before falling to a policeman's bullet. But religious persecution is sadly, nothing new for Sikhs. The confusion and anger over the incident recall earlier chapters in the religion's history, when adherents of the 500-year-old faith found themselves in bloody skirmishes with Hindus and Muslims in India, the birthplace of Sikhism and home to the majority of its practitioners.
Sikhs, who comprise about 2 percent of India's population and form the world's fifth-largest religion, have in many ways been integrated into Indian culture, a point that was driven home by the 2004 election of Prime Minister Monoman Singh, the first Sikh to hold India's most powerful office. But adherents have traveled a bloody road to acceptance: After the 1984 siege of the holy Golden Temple by Sikh separatists and the assassination of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at the hands of her Sikh bodyguards the same year, India saw waves of retaliatory anti-Sikh riots, including a siege of one of the holiest Sikh temples. In a virtual pogrom that torched Sikh homes, storefronts, and temples across the capital New Delhi, mobs killed almost 3,000 people. Many Sikhs fled to the United States. Once again, they have faced persecution, including incidents of violence and a spate of hate crimes, sometimes after being misidentified as Muslims in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.Read more.

A Lawyer, ADUN, A Shithead, Nevertheless!

Hantu Laut

He claimed to be a lawyer but a shithead, nevertheless. A nobody who won in the last election by default.

His tweets;

Lin Dan is so stylish. So modern.Doesn't look like a China man.But from China.Tattoo all over.

Najib, whatever monetary reward promised for Chong Wei,please give it to the poor boy Lin Dan.

If Chong played better than Lin Dan,why Chong Wei did not win?So who is talking nonsense?

Whoever wins a GOLD Medal in OLYMPICS,we must congratulate them.

If Chong Wei played better than Lin Dan,why didn't he win?We must be firm with our players so that we can see a GOLD one day,

Najib should stop promising monetary rewards to all our players before winning.

Many don't seemed to understand when I said "poor boy Lin Dan".Najib thinks of only money even in sports.Stop it.

Malaysia will win its first GOLD Medal in Olympics after Pakatan takes over Putrajaya.

Pakatan has a very capable sports minister in waiting.Give Pakatan to rule Putrajaya to bring in the Gold in next Olympics in Rio 2016.

Maybe, he should migrate to China so he can be near his hero.

Malaysians should condemn this man in the harshest possible way for his insensitivity and snide remarks on Lee Chong Wei's loss last night.

Lee has tried his best, played well, but luck was not on his side that night. He lost just by 2 points in the third set. One man's sorrow should not be another man's delight.

One can see the look of disappointment on Chong Wei's face and his feeling of having let the nation down. His somber expression did not fail to attract the ESPN's commentor's attention who said this of him "Lee Chong Wei is such a great guy, but Lin Dan is a bit arrogant. Skills win you medals, but attitude wins hearts"

Is this moron Manoharan a better sportsman?

What has he achieved for this nation other than farting from his mouth.

Do West Malaysians Deserve To Have Maids ?

Hantu Laut

The West Malaysians are having serious problem getting maid to work. The Malaysian Insider reported here.

Have they asked themselves why?

Well, if you treat your maids like animals plus giving them miserable pay and forced then to work unreasonably long hours, who would want to work for you. You can put you money where your mouth is.

My daughter who lives in Cambodia told me even the Cambodian government are not encouraging their girls to come to Malaysia to work as maid and the flow have stopped after a few cases of maid abuse and one death at the hand of a monstrous employer.

The maids are not coming, not so much because of wages, it is because of abusive employer, particularly those who could hardly afford a paid help, but nevertheless was given approval to have a one. The unfortunate maid not only get abused but also do not get her regular wages on time or in some cases not at all.

The abuse started the day the maid landed in West Malaysia first by agent collecting exorbitant fees and the abuse continued with some employers deducting the agency fee they paid the agent from the maid's salary.

Some poor maid may end up not getting any wages for the first six months and no day off. Food, it will be scraps off the table.

That how West Malaysians treat their maids I was told. It may not be widespread but the few bad apples have spoiled the whole basket.

There must be some truth in the story, otherwise, how could they faced such great difficulty in getting maids from other countries to work.

Malaysia's bad reputation of maid abuse has driven away these poor humans to greener pastures where employers are humans and behaved like one.

The irony of maid abuse in West Malaysia transcends rationality, be they Chinese, Malay or Indian, maid abuse can manifest in any of the household.

The government is equally to be blamed for not putting in place a proper legislation for employment and protection of maids. How can human being work without day off. The government knew of this practice yet closed its eyes to such abuse.

The Malaysian Insider reported that "With a combined take-home pay of RM5,600, they can well afford the RM650 a month it costs for an Indonesian maid but there simply aren’t any to be had. At least not through legal channels"

I believe it is false accounting and could be one of the causes of maid abuse. Those who can hardly afford to have maid were allowed to have one.

If the Westerners can survive without domestic help why can't these people be the same?

A combined income of RM5,600 is not enough to support a maid for a married couple with one or two children. With free food and lodging provided the total cost of keeping a maid would be over RM1,000 per month. With outstanding mortgages, car hire-purchase and children going to schools the couple would be hard-pressed to make ends meet.

It is this kind of people who are likely to abuse their maids and less likely wealthy families.

With such bad reputation and two foreign governments already banned their citizens to work as maids in Malaysia do the West Malaysians deserve to have maids.

You hardly hear of maid abuse in Sabah and Sarawak.
