Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin talking to Equatorial Hotel’s Chef Ahmad Fairuz Harun at the Malaysia Cocoa fair 2009.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen responsible for the fracas at the Perak assembly should be ashamed of themselves as their behaviour was disgraceful and disrespectful to the people, the monarchy and the country.
"They don't respect the institution, the assembly and the Raja Muda (Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah).
"They are bad examples and Malaysians can judge for themselves how the opposition behaved," Muhyiddin said after launching the Malaysian Cocoa Fair 2009.
Muhyiddin, who is also education minister, said the Pakatan assemblymen did not respect democracy and did not observe basic decorum.
"If they have any issues to raise, do so within limits and respect the law and the Constitution."

why shouldn't a regent wait afterall he is the one suppose to protect the rakyat. He is no mightier than anyone. He is a regent because of the rakyat so waiting for six hours or six years is not the question here. The big question here is justice for all. Injustice had happen therefore the rightful onesa are protesting. this is simple logic. Won't you retaliate if the same happens to you. Or you will give way to the regent and forget the injustice happened to you. No way i suppose. Please be sensible.
The regent did not comment anything. As a vocal person he would have, if it deemed proper.
It should be added that when the Regent left, he wanted the MB Nizar Jamaludin to accompany him, not the pretender MB Zambry, who was left behind. The Regent also ordered Zambry's gang of thugs -- who were instrumental in forcibly removing the Speaker from the Dewan -- to leave before he began his speech.
Z45 said "It should be added that when the Regent left, he wanted the MB Nizar Jamaludin to accompany him, not the pretender MB Zambry"...
Are you sure it was like that or Nizar unashamedly follow the regent like leeches and out of courtesy the regent invited him.
Remember, the dewan sitting was called by BN while the ex speaker demanded that the sitting to be deferred. If the regent said he wanted to work with PKR as claimed by the ex MB, Nizar.. I am sure the regent may defer the sitting and he would not had delivered his speech after he was forced to wait for 6 hours!.
It's of no importance which party the Royalties treated favourably, the best way is to go back to the Rakyat. Doing so does not guarantee PR regaining the government. BN has equal opportunity too if not more since they have the government machineries and are not ashamed to use them as we have witnessed numerous occasions so why not do it as majority want??? Am I to believe BN have no confidence in themselves????
HRH Sultan Perak or Raja Nazrin should not have graced the occassion simply because there are ongoing court cases to determine the legitimacy of the position of various personalities in the Perak State Assembly.
That way, they will really be seen to be above poltics.
Objectively speaking, if the BN claims to have the vote of the majority of the people in Perak, then they should turun padang & hold fresh state elections to settle this matter once and for all with the Pakatan gang. I quote pro-UMNO blogger Sakmongkol AK47 "It's better for UMNO to lose honourably than to win detestably. "
That makes good sense 'cos heads you win but tails you also don't lose (your integrity).
Both Pakatan and BN ADUNs were a disgrace. The cost of having fresh elections is peanuts compared to the intagible loss suffered by democracy in Malaysia.
A case of the pot calling the kettle black?
