Hantu Laut
This is one rare occassion that I agree with Nazri Aziz, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.
Yes, I agree the cabbies in Kuala Lumpur are more offensive and worse than dirty toilets and he needs not apologise to this bunch of extortionists.I have personal experience, not once, but on many occasions, the uncouth behaviour and crookedness of KL taxi drivers. They are disgrace to the nation.
A report here shows that in spite the recent increase in taxi fare the KL taxi drivers haven't mend their ways.
At least, dirty toilet only stinks, it doesn't cheat you.
I wrote this more than a year ago on one of my visits to Kuala Lumpur.

In all fairness Bro, its not A L L KL cabs are worse than dirty toilets. Only SOME maybe, there are and there are many taxi drivers in KL who are courteous and their taxis clean as a whistle usually owner operated. The rude ones are those who probably rented the taxi and the license from the real owner operators who does not care a hoot about their taxi so long as it make money for them.

eddy,
I am sure there are some good ones but they appear to be in the minority.
It may sound a bit cruel to lump them but when there are too many incidents and complaints it becomes the general rule.
You can read numerous complaints by tourists which gave KL a bad image.I think locals are not much affected because almost everyone drives their own car.
Don't take the phrase literally,it's just a metaphor.
Agree Bro.
HL,
In answer to your question.....YES!
