Anwar! Can You Do Sabahans A Favour ?

Hantu Laut

I read with great interest Anwar overly concern for Sabahans here.

A full-pledge casino should not be worse than what we already have scattered all over Sabah including in smaller towns. Slot machines under the guises of membership clubs that steal millions from poor Sabahans who can ill afford to gamble.

So, Anwar before you start shouting about something you are not sure of why don't you do us Sabahans a favour by pressuring the Federal government to close down all the slot machine clubs in Sabah, or have you forgotten that these licences were issued during your tenure as Minister of Finance.

I understand these clubs are operated by the same people who was supposed to get the sport betting licence. They are racking in millions of ringgit everyday from machines that are not properly regulated by the authorities.

You would do Sabahans a great favour if you can take the issue to Parliament and show your sincerity that you not only talk tongue in cheek.

My guess is just as much as others....he,Anwar Ibrahim is merely going for support & votes...he couldn't care less what is good for Sabahans. He gave Sabahans promises that they like to hear while sad to say many Sabahans fell prey to his promises.

There is so much social matters need to be resolve yet he only stressed 'Perkara 20'...and..Sabahans took the bait, hook, line and sinker....the guy is a desperate man,i wish my Sabahans buddies realise all his aces in his sleeves.

There is so much the Federal govt. could do to improve the living in Sabah....attitude need to be change, social matters need to corrected. We must understand that we are a developing country,we need to strive and work hard to be better, blaming others and hoping someone else would provide an improve state of living is a fruitless thought and effort.

No religion nor culture teaches us to hope and wait.I wish Sabahans to look at Japan or Vietnam for that matter....they put themselves on the world map.Lets be proud of ourself and our culture.Even some states in Malaysia are way behind compared to Sabah. We can't go far by grudging and complaining of being shortchange. No place or goverment on the world map that can be taken as an example for being fair.

Of my 4 years in Sabah i have learn and understand the issues over there...enough for me to realised how some Sabahans actually manipulated their own countrymen...it all boils down to are the Sabahans ready to accept the fact that it is within themselves individually need transformations...not the government.I say this from the bottom of my heart for part of my soul is right there Below The Wind...luv u Sabah, may Allah bless us all.

Are gambling licences are up for annual renewal. Who has been approving the renewals if not you UMNO clowns since Anwar got kicked out of UMNO. Moreover, slot machine permits do not have the scope or depth in the variety of gambling games offered compared to what one can do with a casino licence. I would think some one like you would be able to see the complexities of casino licence. Ignorance is not bliss.

Changing the government will not solve the problems. This is where Anwar wasn't interested to know....he won't care and wouldn't want to know either! So long as you take his bait, hook, line and sinker he has already won his case..just like what he had did on other states.....draw-up promises and conned others to make his way thru' into political power to resolve his legal issues....that is his only way out;gain political control and free himself but at whose expense?Think again...why can't he prosper Sabah during his time as DPM?

This are the few questions we need to ask ourselves;
1.How many percent of the commercial properties actually own by bumiputra in K.K alone?
2.How many percent of business entity actually owned and manage by bumiputra in K.K?
3.How many percent of premium or up-market residential housing area owned by bumiputra in K.K?
4.Are the bumiputra in Sabah competitive enough to compete with other races i.e chinese on level ground?
5.Even in tourism, how many percent of the business outfit or hotels & chalets for that matter are actually owned by bumiputra?
6.If theres a change of government...would the bumiputra Sabahans economic or standard of living be better?
7.Would it be more democratic if DAP/PKR were to govern Sabah?
8.How many percent growth actually Sabah had achieve during the period BN was 'asked to leave'?If the answer is b'cos the Federal stops the fund what makes you think Anwar & Kit Siang could make a magical transformation?

AND PKR/DAP IS TALKING EQUAL RIGHTS!!!

The questions could go on and on which i believed the answer is going to be the same as we here, orang Malaya!!!The problem is actually us...we were not good enough to compete and were always a follower to the non-bumi towkey....but we have improved commendably well and i believe if my fellow Sabahan were to carry the right attitude and spirit together WE can be a better race undoubtedly a successful Malaysian ...

DAP could promise you the sky and the moon but frankly...he is only interested upon his race.He have actually betrayed the very promised made long before he was in politics and sealed in the Constitutions yet he is saying his race have been
discriminated!!What makes you think he would not betray again!!!!!
Part of my soul is in the Land Below The Wind and the people....may Allah bless us all

Bro HL,

We are still talking Bumi / Non-Bumi.
This is the biggest stumbling block to our achieving the so-called "1-Malaysia" goal.

The multiplier effect of a casino (and integrated resort) is tremendous. Tak kan Sabah nak bergantung kepada balak and kelapa sawit forever ? It is time to move up the economic ladder. The casino will be a major boost for tourism in Sabah - and if the state government is smart enough, a substantial portion of the gaming tax can accrue to the state.

Anwar talks rubbish. If he is really serious about the ills of gambling, he should speak up against the hundreds of 4 nombor ekor shop which are mainly patronised by poor people. Casino - mostly well to do people go - so if they want to burn their money, that is their problem.

Hello geng, buka minda lah. This is the 21st century.

The monkey man makes a convincing case for the casino. Pls read.
