Anwar's Lamentation: Hantus And Bomohs

Hantu Laut

They came in all shapes and sizes and from the brilliant to the weirdos. Are politicians born or made ? Look like a bit of both.

Anwar Ibrahim claimed that UMNO, in desperation, has resorted to sorcery and abused government machinery to improve it public image to bring down the Pakatan Rakyat
government with one chop of the axe.

Why is he complaining ? As much as it is his job to bring UMNO and the BN down, it is also Najib and UMNO job to bring him and the PR down.As veteran politician Anwar should know that. At least, UMNO didn't brag about it like he did when he lied through his teeth that he would grab the Federal government by 16 Sept 2008 that kept the whole nation in suspense.

It is not illegal to bring a government down by democratic process, it only become an offence if it was done by force or armed struggle.

I like the sorcery part.I am not sure whether this is illegal as there was no mention of it in the Federal Constitution.

Maybe, Anwar should elaborate more on this subject like how many bomohs is UMNO using to cast spell on the people and turn them into zombies to vote for UMNO in the next general election.

Reported in Malaysian Insider:

The Opposition Leader also cited a report in Sin Chew Daily, a Chinese-language newspaper which today front-paged a report saying a police bomb squad had found a piece of wood wrapped in white cloth and two sheets of paper with Jawi writing, suspected to be items of sorcery under the desk of the Umno president in the party headquarters here a few days ago.

Anwar said the steps set a dangerous trend and indicated the level of desperation within the party to boost its image, adding Umno should not assume Malaysians are stupid.

“Only an Umno insider will have access to the meeting room. This is the kind of culture, ‘budayarosak’ they have in the party,” he told reporters later.

Full text here.

Wonder what that small bundle of white cloth doing under the PM's table and what the writing says ?

DSAI is right. Malaysia can not be ruled by witchcraft / black magic. I am puzzel how come the Malays who claim to be staunch muslims but pratice witch craft ( Jampi / Bomoh ) openly. Are you saying what DSAI is saing is untrue

I wish to see your reply and comments

HL,

Hahahahaha! I agree on one point, it's DSAI's job to bring BN down just as much as it's Najib's job to bring PR down.
As far as "jampis" & "bomohs" are concerned, I don't think it's so far-fetched as we ALL know that despite the Malays showing that they are 110% (even more than the Arabs) Muslim, they still resort to Jampis & Bomohs when they have problems.
And as far as we ALL can see, our poor country is spiralling down into the abyss & so far there is no "light at the end of the tunnel"!
God save Malaysia.

I think Anwar's statement was regarding the exposure of the existence of a BN-driven committee to "destabilise" the PR Selangor State government and otherwise ensure BN victory in Selangor in the next GE. The committee members reportedly comprise government departments and even the supposedly independent Elections Commission !

It may not be downright illegal, but definitely unethical.

The Jampi thing ? You'd be surprised how this issue resonates with the Malay community.

the Malays like hantu are just confused as what is islam is and what is witchcraft or they think these two are the same. No wonder when I used to work in UAE , Qatra and so on my Arab friends do not consider the MALAYS AS MUSLIMS AT ALL.

Anonymous 8.21,

I wish you guys can pick a nickname, otherwise difficult to separate the smart ones from the morons.

No where in my article I say I supported sorcery.I wrote what was reported in the media.

I came from a family who doesn't believe in ghosts, witchcraft and any thing deemed supernatural, that's why the sarcasm.

The people from Peninsula and Indonesia are the worst offenders when it come to this outlawed practice in Islam.

Islam consider this practice as embodiment of paganism and atheism and called it 'sirik'.

It's laughable that somebody think they can charm Pak Lah with blackmagic into doing what they want him to do.

Anonymous10.14,

Give me a break!

Sorcery, witchcraft, blackmagic and all these kind of nonsense exist in every culture and the Arabs are no exception.Even some Western culture still practise it, so it's not confine to the Malays only.

It's up to the individual whether to believe in it or not.

Maybe it is Anwar & Co that put the "jampi" for Dollah Badawi to stay?

Isn't it Anwar & Dollah was at the Takrekat Nakshabandi Mahmud house in Kajang asking for devine intervention?

I think Anwar is using DAP "langsuir" to put the "jampi".

Maybe? Perhaps?

Why do you not chage your blog to UMNOINSIDER

hantu,

its not democracy when institutions independence are being compromised and used as tools to topple a democratically elected government.

look at the bizarre behaviour of MACC, Police and the Judiciary. Are they acting in accordance with the laws or are they at the beckoning of UMNO. Its nonsensical to say thats democracy when laws are blatantly trampled upon by parties that are suppossed to uphold the laws!

For all your claim to be neutral, I cant seem to fathom your justification for wanton law breaking by UMNO as democratic. thats baffling, to say the least.
