Is Anwar Living In A State Of Denial ?

Hantu Laut

There is no rift in Pakatan Rakyat says Anwar Ibrahim. If there is none why bother to meet those embroiled in the crisis.

NST reported here.

Is Anwar Ibrahim living in a state of denial?

We'll see, how long before the next recrimination.

Eddy, a regular commentator to this blog has written an interesting piece which deserves to be on the front page rather than hidden in the comment column.

Eddy says:

I agree that the damage done during Abdullah's tenure needed serious repair but to have Najib do the repairs immediately will be a tall order.

However, Najib has bitten the bullet early and done many reforms to the economic and education landscape to suit the changing times. In less than 100 days of becoming PM, he has made decisions even Dr Mahathir fear to thread lest he be accused of pandering to the non Malays. Even now there are many voices voicing out their dissatisfaction to Najib on even the dismantling of some negative aspects of the DEB while keeping most of the positives which proved to be beneficial to all.

I am very optimistic that the partnership between Najib and his Timbalan, Muhyiddin will yield the right result for a better Malaysia for all races, but the changes and reforms made will take at least two years to get the desired results and that is provided that Najib takes good advise from all, including both the veterans and the youths. For example in carrying out the necessary reforms he must make sure that he do not interfere with the affairs of Petronas and not be beholden to young advisers from Ethos consultant who do not know Malaysia's history and stay clear of any new bridge to Singapore before settling the JB scenic bridge problem. If Najib stays clear from these minefields and others like it, Najib will have the support of the majority Malays/Bumiputras and I dare say Indians.

I am not sure about the majority Peninsular Chinese though, they seemed to want more of everything economically and now politically as well and going by the trend they will probably vote enmasse next GE for DAP or PKR, so, whatever good Najib and BN does will be to no avail "macam simbah air atas keladilah" especially now that DAP a Chinese based party is proving that they are the ones in Pakatan setting the direction that the loose coalition takes. That is my thoughts, I hope I am wrong.

Next stop is the liberalisation of the auto industry, wean Proton and Perodua from Government protection starting with the 1600cc cars and below so that cars like the Honda Jazz can be priced at 60-65k. Cars below 1600cc should be priced between just 35k to 65k only depending on its quality, Malaysians should start paying cars for the price our friends in Thailand pays. If Najib does this, he and BN will be most popular people among the youths of all races I think.Popularity translates into votes for BN.

Personally, I think Najib has a long term plan to ensure that in the next GE but in war as in politics he cannot show all his strategy at once, BN will be assured of victory and regain lost ground with or without the majority of the Peninsular Chinese votes, what he is doing now is to regain as much lost ground for MCA and Gerakan as possible as it seems that both of these parties are still in sixes and sevens due to the DAP merciless onslaught on them, while at the same time keeping a very close eye on Sabah and Sarawak where the next GE will be lost or won actually.

Talking about elections Bro, in Manik Urai, I think its a no brainer that PAS will win, as long as the wily old man Nik Aziz is around in Kelantan, UMNO does not have a chance. Nik Aziz is numero uno in Kelantan, they even say that when you see his potrait you are blessed, with that, I know UMNO is a goner in this by-election and it has nothing to do with politics just Nik Aziz's popularity.

No worries there,Bro, its just a small pitched battle which could be lost , but I hope UMNO/BN would not give up easily without a fight. The war in the next GE is where BN would ultimately triumph, hero selalu kalah dulu, akhir sekali baru menang. Cheers.

While it is nice talk, Eddy, but things are not as simple as they seem. Instead of looking at reforming the young generation to be hardworking and progressive, Eddy chooses to go into cheaper cars.

Come on Eddy, you think local car makers can survive (or rather the local cronies can survive) with that kind of policy? What will happen to all AP holders all over a sudden? Trust me, it will never happen, not another 5-10 years.

However, a very pressing issue will surface very soon. The result of failed education policies will make more and more local grads unemployable. Not only because of the lack of usable knowledge but also bad attitude. Just look at some of the local grads, they are not very skilled but they are damn demanding and arrogant. Demand high salary but prefer gaji buta. How many business can use truck loads of gaji buta? Very soon when competition gets into higher gear when the rest of the world gets in shape for the recovery, we will be in really bad shape. Most of which protecting against the use of English will ensure fastest path to oblivion.

When Eddy 'angkat' so much of Najib, what is so inspiring so far when he has come to power? Except for the show of force in Perak. Most of the stimulus packages are going to certain friendly parties and not broad spectrum in all industries of the country.

Why are our exports keeps dropping at double digits? International rating dropping? To be fair, the sleepy guy has done massive damage but Najib is not doing enough to steer out of the storm.

As a Malaysian, I really hope he can do more and not allowing his cabinet ministers to talk rots in defense of their incompetence. When you do not see the problem, you will not be able to 'correct' past mistakes and progress.

Certainly, I would like to give PM Najib a chance to show his mettle in making the tough decisions for the good of the country, irrespective of ethnic background.

In the economic sphere, he seems to be making the right moves, though I wonder if his UMNO counterparts agree wholeheatedly or not. If it were Anwar or Zaid or DAP proposing the dimunition of the 30% IPO bumi quota, they would have been villified - such is the power of incumbency !

Point is that he took the bold steps that should eventually make Malaysia a preferred stop for investors again. They (both foreign and local) have definitely not been interested in making investement in Malaysia for a while already.

However, I think the boldest move that PM Najib can make is to stop the Sodomy II case IF there is no evidence. Obviously, if there is a case, go forward but if not, please do not waste the rakyat and govt resources barking up the wrong tree.

It is not a politically good move as it brings attention to Anwar again and this will once again divide the nation.

Again, I reiterate. If there is a case, go ahead but if there is none or flimsy evidence, the cost to his leadership will be immense.

Purple Haze,

I agree with most of your analysis but one.

Najib have nothing to do with Sodomy II, it was the Pakatan spin to imprecate him as we know why. Its is between Anwar and Saiful, the latter make a police report then the law must take it course. Saiful is victim seeking justice and anwar is the offender trying to evade the law with his trickery.

But what matter most is the truth.

HL / Eddy,

As HL knows well, I have "kutuk" Najib "habis2" in the past, however, I have refrained my -ve comments on him until I see the results of his "so-called changes".
Eddy, the Peninsula Chinese vote for DAP in the next GE?...Yes you can bet on that (don't forget they will vote for PKR & PAS also). You say they want everything economically & now they want everything politicaly also! Wow! And you call the PR supporters Racists?!
Next, don't forget the Indians voting for the DAP, PKR & PAS also. Najib can't save MIC, PPP or Gerakan (MCA may muddle through I guess) unless & until he gets rid of those "dead-weights" who are heading those parties! And don't tell me he won't interfere...he's the head of the BN & what happens to the component parties is his responsibility (not to mention his responsibility to the "so-called" 1 Malaysia concept...which I hear everyday [like the Islam Hadari concept I used to hear during Badawi's days]).
Sabah / Sarawak? Hahahaha...they saved the BN in the last GE! And they got penuts...well...that's usual kan? The BN has always treated the East Malaysians as monkeys? Why? Simple...being Racist...UMNO doesn't really see the majority Christian East Malaysians as "worthy" Bumiputras!!!!!
Why do you think Najib is going to let the "fiasco" of DSAI's trial go on (just like he let the fiasco of the Perak crisis continue)? Because DSAI is a threat...& he has to stop DSAI before he starts making "head-way" into East Malaysia!
Just look at the comments of that mentally challenged Fearless! Saiful is a victim? They catually expect us to believe DSAI sodomised Saiful all those times? A 60 year old can do that to a 20-somthing guy so easily? Wow!
I'm sure Najib knows what he needs to do. However, he has to get the idiots who work for him to "change" first or get rid of them...then tackle the PDRM & Judiciary & the rampant corruption that's endemic in the BN Govt. Then maybe the people will start to believe in the 1 Malaysia concept.

SM,

That the trouble with people like you, don't not want the truth to be reveal and yet you think you can frighten me off with your insults!

So you want to announce to the whole world that your are impotent and not able to achieve sexual erection and every body with the same age as you are is the same ? No, not every body is the same my friend, possibly you being fed with Pakatan's toxic that cause your brain malfunction. The society don's not need a brain dead rascal like you who defend law offender and punish the victim.

You shove your logics to your own asshole, that where it belong.....

SM said...

HL,

Well..what did I say about the mentally challenged Fearless?
When he (it?) is challenged!...I guess what do you expect who is probably an in-bred offspring? They can't argue with intelligence so they resort to crude & vulgar explicits!
No wonder Najib can't really effect any change...with supporters like Fearless...Najib has to continue with special privilages"!

SM,

If you don't know where your asshole is, then your Idol can help you. Every body know his capability, in case you doesn't know.

fearless,
There is no need to resort to those language. Please argue with sense and sensibility.

We can disagree and still be civil about it.

fearless said...

HL,

I have no problem with you suggestion.

But this fellow is hitting below the belt, if you refer back to his earlier many comments he add insults at me indirectly. I am just waiting for this opportunity for him to direct at me to whack him since he chose to fight with me then let fight.

He thought he can shut me of with his insults, noway man.

HL,

Fearless seems to be fixated on the word "Asshole" & other crude exlisits. I wonder who's the Sodomite here!
The more he speaks the more he shows his upbringing & lack of "grey matter' (ooopsss...I guess he will have to run to the Dictionary once again!).
Poor guy...I suddenly realise that it's beneath my dignity to try arguing with someone of such low class & mentality.
This is just a small example of why Najib has his work cut out for him! With this type of low-class people supporting him, how can he achieve a "1 Malaysia" (let alone Vision 2020)?! The beat hope that Najib has is that low life like Fearless crawl back under their "tempurung" or slither back down the holes they came out of!

HL,

My apologies to you & your other commentators (like Eddy, who are able to argue with dignity & intelligence) for wasting time arguing with an unworthy opponent.

SM ,

Cut out your shit on Najib . Najib has nothing to do with fearless comment , and Najib has many supporters everywhere and from all walks of life .
Just as fearless mentioned of you hitting below the belt , I feel you are hitting below the belt on Najib .
Just because of fearless comment you wrote ,how can he Najib achieve a "1 Malaysia" (let alone Vision 2020)?!
I think this is uncalled for , speaks volume of PR supporters or Anwar's konco .

SM said...

HL,

I rest my case! Just look at what Chaptokam commented!
I'm sure you can see that I was not hitting Najib at all in my comments. But what he/she/it commented shows the level of intelligence that these cretins have.
By the way, even if I did hit at Najib (& again I say I did not), is he so defensless that he needs dopes to defend him?
What I'm clearly stating is "ho can Najib or BN soar with the eagles when he's working with turkeys" (& we know at least 2 of them here!).

Hi everybody,
It's getting hot and stuffy in this room, maybe, we should switch on the air-cond and cool down.

Ya forgot to mention only vultures have better cretins and brain matter than turkeys . At least turkeys don't harm people , unlike vultures that goes for dead meat .

HT, tell me, is that not civil.

Below phase for SM reply to you and Eddy.

I believe you are wise to enough to figure out who is looking for a fight, less what that contemptible coward claim to be.
