In The Land Of The Blind The One-Eyed Man Is King

Hantu Laut

I can't believe this kind of spinning can come from a purportedly intelligence man like Haris Ibrahim

He said the two-part interview aired during prime time on Wednesday and yesterday was heavily edited and distorted in favour of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, to give him a “squeaky clean” image to the people in rural Sarawak, who have only access to mainstream media, ahead of the state vote.

Did Ibrahim read what Raja Petra wrote in his blog and what he said on TV, where were the great divide, the variance between the two, or he just watch the TV and spun a story that the tape was hyped by the UMNO controlled network.

If you want to spin a yarn just make sure you first learn to do it properly.

If this was such a big story that RPK had recanted, why was this February interview not aired then ?

The Youtube video clearly makes an emphasis that key phrases had been edited out and Haris Ibrahim makes pointed references to them.

Here's an excerpt from RPK's interview with M'sian Insider :

TMI: Some have interpreted this as you saying DS Najib and his wife are not involved in the murder of Altantuya. Is this what you’re saying? Or are you still convinced they are involved?

RPK: Have you read my statutory declaration, which is the focus of my first interview? Did I allege they are involved in the murder or did I say that Lt-Kol Azmi Zainal Abidin made that allegation and, therefore, this has to be investigated? What I signed in that June 2008 SD is what I am still saying today.

RPK seems to be saying that he has not changed any views, so who is spinning or changing tack ?

Purple Haze,
Both you and Haris Ibrahim should go back to school. He explicitly says it was a conspiracy to stop Najib from becoming the PM and he was used as a tool by those people he mentioned.

Bro HL,

What you are saying is correct...However, what Purple Haze is saying is also correct.
BN supporters are saying that RPK is now recanting that Rosmah & Najib was involved in the murder...he never said that they were involved. He did say that he WAS TOLD that they were involved. He is still saying that! HE'S STILL ASKING THE PDRM TO INVESTIGATE THE ALLEGATION THAT ROSMAH WAS INVOLVED!
Now he has ADDED that there was an attempt to stop Najib from being PM by DSAI, Tenku Razaleigh, etc!
What he said earlier has not changed...he has just "added" more "CERITA".

Going back to school is not a bad thing - those are usually one's happiest memories !

SM has perhaps clarified something that I thought you had seen/heard in the video.

But perhaps more importantly, some aspects of the case need to be re-surfaced.

There is still a mass of evidence that casts suspicion on highly-placed individuals in Altantuya's death, including suspicious text messages between Razak Baginda and Najib.

Sirul's confession was never admitted into evidence in the Shah Alam High Court.

In that confession, Sirul told police he and Azilah were to be paid between RM50,000 and RM100,000 ) to kill the woman. Azilah, he said, told him that Musa Safri, Najib's chief of staff and aide-de-camp, in turn had told Azilah "about a friend …who had women problems," and that there was "a job to do."

However, neither Musa Safri nor Najib was ever called to court to explain who Musa was acting for or whether he ordered the woman's killing, or who was going to pay the two the money.

I do not recall the reason why Sirul's confession was not admitted. Does anyone recall or was it swept under the carpet ?
