Stand By Your Man - "My Husband Is No Chua Soi Lek"

Hantu Laut

She was asked to clear the air of what was reported in various blogs about her husband's indiscretion and her bashing his lover and kicking her out of his office.

It is normal to seek clarification in parliament or state assembly on issues effecting the government. No elected member should lose a night's sleep over such matter unless there is some truth to it.

A simple "NO" for an answer would have sufficed and case closed. Why the guttering, politicising and blowing the issue out of proportion?

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's wife Betty Chew blew her top when asked by Malacca MCA chief Gan Tian Loo in the state assembly about her husband's infidelity.

"I am no Chua Soi Lek" Lim Guan Eng says and repeated by his wife "My husband is no Chua Soi Lek" here.

Poor Chua has become the most whacked philanderer by women who wish to stand by their man, guilty or otherwise.

Pakatan men don't screw around nor are they corrupted, they are as clean as the whistle, only those from BN are, and, of course, the biggest fuckers and the most venal are in UMNO.

What has Chua got to do with another MCA elected member's screw-up? Don't you think Chua is a real man for owning up? Many would have lied through their teeth to save their skin.

Remember the spitting image of the man with a China doll in the sex video? Pakatan leaders say it was a fake, the wife says it was a fake, the daughter says it was a fake but the expert says was not a fake, it was him, it was the same man but than experts are human, can make mistakes. Pakatan leaders are humans too, but mistakes, they don't make.

There seems to be a pattern in the Pakatan's camp of wives coming to the rescue of their husband's straying, true or false, does not matter, must stand by your man.

Anwar Ibrahim is one very lucky man to have an unwavering wife, stood by him, through thick and thin.

In Pakatan, it's family business as usual.

Small Minds Stirring The Hornet's Nest

Hantu Laut

Hope Prime Minister Najib does not fall into Perkasa's trap. They are ridiculing him for not acting against Chua Soi Lek and those that speak out against the NEP.

By the same token, if they arrest Chua than they might have to arrest the prime minister's brother too.Nazir Razak has also spoken against the NEP.

What are these people thinking when they utter those words. Is Malaysia a communist country, you can't even express an opinion?

"Great minds discuss ideas...Average minds discuss events.....Small minds discuss people" Eleanor Roosevelt.

Isn't it so true?

Perkasa, MPM want Soi Lek arrested under ISA

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 — Malay rights groups Perkasa along with the Malays Consultative Council (MPM) demanded today that MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek be arrested under the Internal Security Act (ISA) for “disregarding national interests”.

Perkasa economic bureau director Dr Zubir Harun said Dr Chua’s insistence in pushing for the removal of the 30 per cent Bumiputera equity quota was against the spirit of the federal constitution.

“Chua Soi Lek, through the resolutions passed during the MCA Chinese Economic Congress, had caused much distress and worry among Malays in this country. Chua Soi Lek should be placed under the ISA for making these unwarranted demands,” said Zubir.

He added that Perkasa viewed the matter very seriously, and threatened to punish all MCA leaders at the ballot box.

“If MCA continues like this, we will not vote for any MCA candidates in the coming general election,” said Zubir.

During the MCA-sponsored Chinese Economic Congress last weekend, Dr Chua had urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to abolish the 30 per cent Bumiputera equity rule and to open up the boards of government-linked companies (GLCs) to non-Bumiputera talent.

This led to a war of words between Umno and MCA that involved Umno leaders Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, who both reminded Dr Chua not to forget about Barisan Nasional’s (BN) struggles while fighting for the rights of the Chinese community.

However, Dr Chua has now denied questioning the New Economic Policy (NEP) at the congress, saying he merely suggested ways to increase the country’s competitiveness and achieve the Najib administration’s high-income goal.

His denial was carried in an interview with Berita Minggu today, the Sunday edition from the Umno-controlled The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.

“I never touched on the NEP... Look at my (Chinese Economic Congress) speech, I didn’t touch on one thing,” Dr Chua said in the interview.

“What I raised had to do with reality, how non-Bumiputeras can help the government to achieve the aims of the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) and New Economic Model (NEM).”

MPM secretary-general Dr Hasan Mad, however, said he was not convinced with Dr Chua’s explanation.

“This is what we call someone who has a forked tongue. How can Soi Lek deny saying it, when there is proof in written form, as reported by news reports quoting him as saying that?

“Soi Lek just wants Chinese support, because he knows he barely has nine per cent support right now,” said Hasan.

Hasan also questioned Umno’s silence on the matter, adding that Umno should respond to the 13-point resolution inked during the MCA congress.

“Our leaders are too compromising. If they are firmer, people won’t say such things. This is because of a weak leadership.

“There has to be action taken against those who question what is already provided for in the constitution. Umno has to respond to MCA’s economic congress,” said Hasan.

The MPM committee member said that the council will be meeting top Umno leaders as well as Cabinet members soon to seek some “clarification” over the matter.

UMNO Sabotaging Itself ?

Hantu Laut

Is there anyone in UMNO that is capable of making sense or are there internal forces within the party out to destroy it or they are just plain stupid not to see what they are doing could lead to their self-destruction.

Just a few days ago the Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak assured Malaysians that he would not return to the Mahathir's era type of administration and that he would bring about reforms in accordance with the people's aspiration. What he had just said must be a joke because the actions seemed to be pointing the other way.I honestly believe what's going on now is even worse than Mahathir's time.During Mahathir's time Chua Soi Lek would at worst get a tongue-lashing in private.

Well, damn me!, if I can understand the sensibility of dragging your partner to a police station for a chat over a trivial speech. About 'ketuanan Melayu' depicts a master and servant relationship.Read Tok Mommy's
story here.

Anwar's dream of taking over the government is looking brighter now than before.Maybe, they should just handover the whole government to Anwar Ibrahim and spare UMNO the embarrassment of being badly mauled in the next general election.

Why Chua Soi Lek Won ?

Hantu Laut

Below is part of what I wrote in January 2008 when Chua Soi Lek was caught with his pants down having illicit sex with a woman and caught on video planted by his enemies.

"I can't recalled of any other Malaysian politician that had the guts to own up for his or her misdemeanour. Many have gone unpunished for much bigger crime. We don't seem to have a standard in dealing with errant politicians holding public office, it's kind of different strokes for different folks, the less influential and less needed, would be sacrificed. The case of a Chief Minister having sexual liaison with an underage girl was one case that didn't shook the government or prompted it to investigate, instead it sent a member of the opposition to jail for bringing the case into public domain. The then Prime Minister refused to delve any further into the case, which could have ended in statutory rape, if it was proven true.If I remember well, it was the girl that was taken to court, and sent for rehabilitation.

What Chua did was wrong from moral point of view, but it didn't bring any physical harm or injustice to the general population as much as corruption and abuse of power would have. The only person emotionally hurt would be his wife. She has, for being a devoted husband and good provider, forgiven him.

My premise on this case would not be a pleonasm of disagreement with the sentences agreed upon by his comrades in MCA and the Prime Minister.I think the man was given too many lashes, more than he deserves. The penalty was bigger than the crime. He should just have to resign his ministerial position and be allowed to keep his party position and the elected seat.

Now that Chua's political career is over, would the prime minister leave no stone unturned to get the culprits who illegally made and distributed the video?

It is obvious that in this country 'honesty is not the best policy'.Hypocrisy can save you but honesty will definitely kill you. "

I would rather have people like him in government rather than those hypocrites who indulged in bigger misconduct and dishonesty and got away with it.

He won the MCA Deputy President because of his honesty and had the balls to admit his sexual indiscretion publicly putting his relationship at risk with his wife and family.

How many men in high places, if we should call them men, would not be coward enough to admit their mistakes ?
