KUALA LUMPUR: The Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen responsible for the fracas at the Perak assembly should be ashamed of themselves as their behaviour was disgraceful and disrespectful to the people, the monarchy and the country.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said their behaviour was annoying and that this was not the first time they had acted this way.

"They don't respect the institution, the assembly and the Raja Muda (Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah).

"They are bad examples and Malaysians can judge for themselves how the opposition behaved," Muhyiddin said after launching the Malaysian Cocoa Fair 2009.

Muhyiddin, who is also education minister, said the Pakatan assemblymen did not respect democracy and did not observe basic decorum.
"They are un-Malaysian and have no respect to the regent who had to wait for six hours.

"If they have any issues to raise, do so within limits and respect the law and the Constitution."

Perak Crisis: Fame And Infamy

Hantu Laut

Some people just don't get it.

The Pakatan government of Perak or should I say the DAP government seems to have plenty of recalcitrants. As stubborn as a mule.

From the menteri besar, appointed to be one because the Perak State Constitution says The MB must be Malay and a Muslim. Otherwise, the MB would be from DAP, because as a single entity they have the biggest number of seats . Naturally, they would want the MB post. If that was the scenario than we would have two states under DAP control.

Perak is actually under their control and MB Nizar or ex-MB rather, is under their patronage, a stoker of some kind if not a stooge. He has successfully stoked the fire of discontent.

Ousted Speaker Sivakumar insisted that he still holds office, he has God-given immunity against being sacked. He can make decision to do anything in the assembly and no court can question him and make judgement against his decision. He is the all mighty in the Perak State Assembly.

Article 72.1 of the Federal Constitution says "The validity of any proceedings in the Legislative Assembly of any State shall not be questioned in any court". Was his bias, partial and arbitrary action comes under the purview of this article?

Once believed there existed a body of ideal rules against which man-made laws including parliamentary enactments and decisions could be tested. These were described as natural law, natural justice or equity – thought to be of divine origin.

The rights of a person to be tried by an impartial judge and to be heard in his defence –were thought to be fundamental elements of this divine, unchangeable order. Coke CJ in DR.Bonham’s case (1610) said: Even an Act of Parliament could be declared invalid by the courts if it offended “common right and reason” by making a man judge in his own cause. A century later in DR. Bentley’s case (1723) –court pointed out that even God himself did not pass sentence upon Adam before he was called to make his defence. Later –when things became more secular the notion of procedural fairness was already deeply rooted –its procedural requirements –remained something which the superior courts assumed should be complied with by interior bodies entrusted with judicial and now quasi-judicial bodies.

We all know a mule's mother is a horse and the father a donkey.

Malaysians Becoming Terribly Unbecoming In Behaviour

Hantu Laut

I don't know Najib personally but I do know he is now our prime minister. The controversy surrounding him had become volleys for the canons of the oppositions. Some have taken it too far and deserved to be taken in by the law.

With the latest Raja Petra's confessions in his article 'The mystery of the missing confession' we are getting a clearer picture of how RPK was duped into signing a 'Statutory Declaration' based on a story from a person he hardly knows. Was he a pawn in this high stake game of dirty politics ? Desperadoes that would, without any qualms, resort to dirty tactics including murdering someone else reputation to gain political mileage or was Raja Petra a pathological liar and made up the whole story to satisfy his hatred for Najib? Surely, it's only a matter of time when those named in the article would response.

I noticed Malaysians are becoming terribly unbecoming in behaviour. What's the point of sending Altantuya's birthday cakes to the Prime Minister. What are they trying to prove? Are they going to hound Najib for the rest of his live for something that did not even have a shred of evidence other than his close relationship with Razak Beginda. All what we know of are hearsay.

Where are the photographs that so many claimed to exist but yet failed to produce? Look at RPK, how he is taken for a ride based on the assurance of a good friend, someone he knows well, who testify to the truthfulness of a story from someone he doesn't know well.

The big demo that the oppositions planned for tomorrow in Perak, what are they trying to achieve other than disturbing the peace and causing embarrassment to the Sultan.

People are easily taken in by the oppositions venomous propagation. The victory that they have got so far had miscarriage into their heads, so much so, they can't differentiate between right and wrong.

If Nizar and Sivakumar are adamant and bent on inciting public disorder and act of violence than Perak may be asking for an emergency rule.

If you want to change the government use the ballot box not the streets.

RPK's Parody Of Tales Of Horror

Hantu Laut

The soap opera continued from a secret location. The scripwriter cum director of this highly explosive drama who claims he is in self-proclaimed exile is actually running away from the law and the law being the law here, couldn't find him. It's probably easier to find a needle in a haystack than finding this Anak Raja Bugis.

All roads now seems to lead to Tungku Razaleigh's office and with Anwar in the mist, real or imaginary, I don't know, but one thing I know, anything coming out of Malaysia Today, most, I do take with a pinch of salt.

Is RPK letting the cat out of the bag or another one of his odyssey of fictional writing.
