This Minister Stupid Or What?

Hantu Laut

Obviously, the Minister is only listening to employers who wouldn't want to pay the minimum wage to maximise profits for themselves.

Has she randomly interviewed employees to find out their side of the story and the true situation? This minister is only trying to prove a point to justify the mistake made in the computation of minimum wage for East Malaysia.

The current median wage for Sabah could be RM577 but that is an anomaly that have not been corrected for decades because of the presence of illegal immigrants who are prepared to accept low pay.Why should Sabahans be subjected to such poor treatment.

It is also ironic that the proposed minimum wage in Sabah and Sarawak is lower than West Malaysia, whereas the cost of living is much higher in East Malaysia.

The West Malaysian civil servants who did the computation should have their heads examine.I reckoned they are just too lazy to carry out a fact finding mission to get the correct data and reliable feedback from the ground.

I simply could not accept the argument that RM800 minimum wage is too much and would kill Sabah economy. It's absurd, a lame excuse and a lot of craps where it is coming from.

Employers in Sabah are used to low productivity whereby they employ two persons to do one person's job. This is false economy and the minister should be bright enough to understand what she just said is a lot of rubbish. Minimum wage for Sabah should be higher than West Malaysia.

I pay my maid who is a foreigner on work pass RM1,000.00 per month, free food, free accommodation and paid return fare every two years to her country for 3 weeks holiday.I don't believe people, particularly, Sabahans, should earn anything less than RM1,000. per month.

To reduce costs employers should teach their workers to be more systematic to increase productivity.Your workers performance is dependent on how you train them.Paying less is not going help increase productivity, it'll only help keep us in the economic backwater.

Businesses may close shop if, Sabah minimum wage RM900: Minister

Kuala Lumpur: The RM800 monthly minimum wage set for Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan is far above the current median wage, Deputy Minister of Human Resources Datuk Maznah Mazlan said Monday.
She said the current median wage for Sabah and Labuan was RM577 whereas in Sarawak it was RM738.
"In Sabah, for example, the RM800 minimum wage is 39 per cent more than the median wage, which means that no less than 50 per cent of workers in Sabah will get a raise of at least 39 per cent," she said after opening the Human Resource Ministry-National Institute of Public Administration (Intan) executive discourse on "Implementation of Minimum Wage Catalyst for a High-Income Nation", here.
Maznah said the minimum wage set for Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan was agreed upon by representatives of both employees and employers, after taking into consideration the different factors affecting the states involved.
She said if the minimum wage was set at RM900 like in the peninsula, it was feared that employers, especially the smaller ones, would face difficulty in carrying on their business or might have to shut down altogether.
"The surge to RM900 would shock employers and it certainly has its implications whereby employees could lose jobs, which would ultimately lead to many other problems," she said.
The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) had called on the Government to set the minimum wage for the private sector in Sabah and Sarawak at RM1,000, saying employees in those states faced a high cost of living.
While announcing the minimum wage on April 30, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had said that the difference in the wage was just for a start and that the Government hoped it could be streamlined to a single rate nationwide.- Bernama

The Bar Council Not Only Sucks, It's Unprofessional, Partial And Bias !

Hantu Laut

The Bar Council not only sucks, it's unprofessional, partial, bias and working for the oppositions.

This is what happen when you put half-past-six lawyers as leaders who lack professional ethic.

The Bar Council should have been an independent body and distant itself from politics. In almost everything it does, it seems to be giving undivided support to the opposition Pakatan Rakyat.

Bar Council Chairman Lim Chee Wee is a disgrace calling for an EGM in seeking a public apology from the Home Minister and IGP for alleged use of excessive force against Bersih protesters even before receiving full report of the investigation by Suhakam, Bar observers and an independent panel appointed by the Home Ministry.

To Members of the Malaysian Bar and pupils in chambers

We refer to Circular No 092/2012 dated 4 May 2012, giving notice of the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Malaysian Bar to be held as follows:

Date : 11 May 2012 (Friday)
Time : 3:00 pm
Venue :  Grand Ballroom, Sunway Putra Hotel (formerly known as the Legend Hotel), Sunway Putra Place, 100 Jalan Putra, 50350 Kuala Lumpur

The “Motion in relation to the events of and surrounding the BERSIH 3.0 public assembly on 28 April 2012, and matters in connection therewith, proposed by Lim Chee Wee (Chairman, Bar Council), on behalf of the Bar Council, dated 4 May 2012” (item (1) of the agenda) is reproduced below.

In accordance with sections 65(4A) and 65(4B) of the LPA, the quorum shall be 500 Members of the Malaysian Bar, and the EGM shall be dissolved if a quorum is not present by 4:00 pm.

Members are urged to make every effort to attend the EGM so that the issues on the agenda may be effectively discussed by as many Members as possible.

We look forward to your participation and presence at the EGM on 11 May 2012.
Thank you.
Tony Woon Yeow Thong
Secretary
Malaysian Bar

It is obvious, the Bar Council has, unashamedly, become an extension and mouthpiece of the opposition Pakatan Rakyat. They are fully aware that Anwar Ibrahim and the whole Pakatan outfit is using street politics for political expediency, yet as a professional body that should stand impartial they gave support to the abominable act of the opposition and ignore any of its wrongdoings.

Their proclivity in demonising the government in every respect clearly shows they have taken side in politics. This is not a cynical observation but a well documented factuality.

How else could he explain calling for an EGM blaming the police of brutality when many videos evidenced provocation was first started by protesters by breaking down barriers where court order has been obtained making Dataran Merdeka a "no man's land" that day.

Videos taken on that day showed the crowd attacking a police car, pelleting it with stones, shoes and whatever objects available to them which eventually sent the car out of control and the mob overturning the police car.

The Bar Council chose to ignore all these awful acts of the law breakers, instead, chose to support them,  threatening the police with legal actions.

Not all its members share the Bar Council Chairman's sentiment as evidenced by the video below.

Has the Bar Council also been hijacked by politicians and being used as their campaign machinery?

Maybe, it's high time the Register of Societies (not sure under which jurisdiction they are registered) write a show cause letter to the Bar Council why they should not be de-registered?

Pakatan's Slam-Bang Politics

Hantu Laut

If you think voting Pakatan Rakyat and making them your next government for you to enjoy greater freedom, democracy and absolute rule of law, you better think again. Cause, it's not going to happen!

Pakatan Rakyat with Anwar Ibrahim at the helm have already shown signs of becoming totalitarian. They do not tolerate differences of opinion. Tunku Abdul Aziz, for speaking out loud, the truth, stuck a stick in Lim Guan Eng's throat that got him a serious rebuke from Guan Eng and other DAP leaders, some even asking him to be sacked from the party.

Here, DAP disciplinary board wants Aziz to confirm whether he has repeated his public criticism so they can take action against him. This is democracy, Pakatan style.

Anwar Ibrahim knew, in a free and fair elections, Pakatan won't be able to capture Putrajaya through the ballot boxes, hence, his desperate gestures on 28 April 2012,  to try cause civil unrest, hoping it would get out of hand and force the government out of office. Former Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohammad was not wrong when he said Bersih's whole motive was to bring down the government ala the "Arab Spring".

I believe Amiga, the prime mover of Bersih, is not as innocent as she claimed to be.She knew, with hundreds of thousands of protesters,  the high risk and danger of things going out of control and the dangerous ripple effect if the authority was not able to contain it. Amiga played into Anwar's hand, knowingly or unknowingly. It is imperative that the police investigate Amiga. She must not be allowed to go scot-free for the damage done to people and properties caused by her high-handedness and adamant refusal to using alternative venue offered by the government. Her speeches and body language stinks of political agenda.

There have been many cases of Pakatan leaders authoritarian rule and abuse of power. The most telling is the ban of certain media from attending the oppositions press conference. Lim Guan Eng has a veracity of character, he has kicked out Utusan reporter from his press conference, barred NSTP group, Utusan Malaysia, Bernama, and TV3 from his press conference. Read here.http://www.mmail.com.my/story/lim-contortion-facts-led-media-being-barred

Guan Eng is a lucky man, in Malaysia the media are still very kind to nasty politicians, try the West, he would be fed to the hyenas, his character and reputation torn to shreds. Malaysia's mainstream media reporters do not have mean streak in them, it only manifested when they joined the unregulated alternative media and become verbally nauseating. You get the best of yellow journalism and hog-wash news the likes of Malaysian Insider (my favourite), Free Malaysia Today, Malaysia Chronicle and few others.

Malaysia Today has bought some very comprehensive insurance, drawing its contents from both pro-oppositions and pro-government blogs.Petra's own articles are now less abusive of the government.

Pro-opposition bloggers, a fine kettle of fish, the worst of the worse, self-aggrandising, have zero tolerance for differences of opinion. If you write anything against Pakatan or its leaders and you happened to be on their blogroll, they couldn't see the bigger picture, they just bump you off their blogroll and proudly announced that they have bigger traffic to their site and you a measly mice not worthy of mention must go. At least two pro-opposition bloggers (not mentioning any names) have struck my blog off their blogroll.

Anyway, who gives the shit about this kind insecured and churlish behaviour.

Politics should not be taken with a bitter pill, turning friends into foes and demonising those not in agreement with you, which only goes to show your incapacitated mind and parochiality.

We have seen how hostile protesters attacked policemen and overturned police car, but as usual, demonising the police, true of false, is a must thing with Pakatan leaders.

Last but not least, politicians should learn to count the days, when their days are up, to throw in the towel and give the younger blood a chance.

People like Tengku Razaleigh should join Pakatan Rakyat. Only than, maybe, he can fulfill his dream of becoming the prime minister.

You see, who is more democratic, DAP, PKR, PAS or UMNO? In spite of his constant disagreement with his party policies, Razaleigh was never threatened with dismissal from the party.

Guan Eng, How DAP Took Control Of Penang And You Becoming The Chief Minister If There Never Was Free And Fair Elections In Malaysia?

Hantu Laut

DAP's only prominent Malay member Tungku Abdul Aziz came under fire from DAP Secretary General and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for his opposition to Bersih demonstration. He was a lone voice in his party and the coalition of liars.

Tunku Aziz said “My opposition to this kind of demonstration is — we are encouraging people to break the law and we are supposed to be lawmakers."

Not asking himself how DAP took control of Penang and he becoming the chief minister if there was never free and fair election,  Guan Eng said  "I am therefore compelled to publicly chastise Senator Tunku Abdul Aziz’s irresponsible remarks opposing Bersih’s right to assemble peacefully... to press for clean, free, fair and independent elections."

Who was right, you or Tunku Aziz about the possibility of protesters breaking the law, violence and civil unrest ?

You see, all these Pakatan leaders are just "full of shits" including the holier than thou Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Aziz who is as old as the hills but refused to give up his chief ministership because he thinks Kelantan is only safe under his stewardship.

A religious man of contradiction, he has forgotten PAS's past rebukes of UMNO, calling UMNO leaders "Orang-orang Islam yang berkongsi dengan orang-orang kafir untuk memerintah negara menjadi kafir atau haram".(Muslims who share power with the infidels to govern a nation are also infidels and committed sin against Islam) and Nik Aziz himself said "UMNO komunis dan serupa Ayah Pin" (UMNO is communist and like Ayah Pin)

Let me ask Nik Aziz what is PAS doing sleeping  in the same bed with DAP? Does it mean all PAS leaders including himself are infidels?

Let me ask Guan Eng how can DAP took over control of Penang and he becoming the chief minister if there never was free and fair elections in Malaysia?

Guan Eng, let's have some answers!
