The Tragic Irony of...."The White Man's Burden"

Remember "The White Man's Burden" a poem by the English poet Rudyard Kipling. The poem consists of seven stanzas, but I am only going to give the first stanza, the rest you can google if it is of interest to you.

The 1st stanza:

Take up the White Man's Burden, Send forth the best ye breed
Go bind your sons to exile, to serve your captives' need;
To wait in heavy harness, On fluttered folk and wild..
Your new-caught, sullen people, Half-devil and half-child.

Kipling wrote the poem soon after the Spanish-American War and the colonisation of the Philippines by the American. 

Kipling, at that time considered the natives of the colonies of the white men as uncouth, uncivilised and that "The White Man" had a duty to refine the barbaric and brutish parts of the world. He began by describing the colonised Filipinos as "new-caught sullen peoples, half-devil and half-child. Surprisingly, up till today many Filipinos still revered the white men 

Some imperialists interpret the poem as aspirations to dominate the world and the European powers had embarked and colonised many parts of the world through whatever method suitable to them and the world at their mercy.

The Western world imperialism existed till today to dominate the rest of the world and impose its will on those considered half-devil and half-child....... illumining these lesser beings had never been exhausting for them.

In the old days they used a multitude of tactics from intimidation to gunboat diplomacy and to all out war. The audacity  much rest on whether the natives are timid or hostile.

Today, things haven't changed much, they still want to rule the world, only the tactics has changed. 

"You are with us, or against us", George Bush's belligerent call to his Western allies to join him when the U.S decided to invade Iraq that led to the toppling of Saddam Hussein and invasion of the country  for almost a decade. 

The Iraq War, spurred by Saddam supposedly possession of WMD (weapons of mass destruction), which later was found to be a big lie fabricated by the U.S. A blatant lie to cover its real attention, retribution for 9/11 to avenge the Muslim terrorists attack on the Twin Tower in New York on 11 Sept 2001 that killed over 3000 people, mostly Americans. 

Hundred of thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women and children were killed in this revenge killings and the country razed to the ground by incessant and indiscriminate bombings by the U.S and her allies. Britain, among the coalition partners was the biggest running dog for theU.S lied to the world about Saddam's WMD. 

The irony, almost two-thirds of the terrorists were Saudis, but the U.S think it was Saddam that should be punished when they knew very well most of the fundings of Islamic terrorism came from Saudi Arabia, their closest ally in the Middle East.

Is Iraq peaceful and safer now? I am sure many of you would know the answer to that. 

The country is completely devastated and torn apart in sectarian violence. A puppet government installed by the U.S is completely corrupt, incompetent and ineffective. ISIS, the Islamist militants has seized large swathe of territory in Iraq and neighbouring Syria filling the power vacuum.

Afghanistan, invaded much earlier than Iraq following the 9/11 attack was to dismantle the Al Qaeda and seek the extradition of Osama bin Laden.When the Taliban government refused to entertain their request, the U.S and Britain invaded the country and bombed it to smithereens, killing thousands of innocent Afghan civilians. They finally managed to track down Osama and killed him in May 2011, not in Afghanistan, but in Pakistan the so called American ally harbouring its biggest enemy. So much for the best intelligence unit in the world, took over a decade to track him down!

They buried Osama at sea on the ground that burying him on land may turn his grave into a shrine and a martyr to the Muslims>

Did killing Osama stopped Islamic terrorism?

See, the American not all that smart, they killed one devil and thousands more sprung up with bigger thirst to inflict bigger atrocity and violence against the West.

Think of what Boko Haram did two days ago in a Nigerian village, razed to the ground and wiped out the entire village of 2000 or more inhabitants.

ALAS! THE WEST DIDN'T CRY! Not a squeak of empathy and sympathy.

Seventeen killed in Paris and the whole ground shook with cry of sympathy calling for unity and solidarity over the killing of freedom of expression.......and there was huge global response almost 2 million thronged the streets of Paris including the biggest mass murderer of our time coming out of the state of Israel.

What irony!

In May 2014 the U.S announced that its combat operations would end in 2014, leaving only residual force until the end of 2016.

I can safely assume that Afghanistan will return to the Talibans, or the like of it as soon as all foreign forces left the country.

The Western powers have not only destroyed these two countries, they have also destroyed almost all the Arab countries in the Middle East through proxy wars, except Saudi Arabia, the worst offender of personal liberty and human rights subjecting its citizens to extremely harsh Islamic laws, but the American and her Western allies love these medieval Wahhabis for their oil money and not give two hoots of her draconian laws and human right abuses of her own citizens.

This double-standard and hypocrisy are being played out wherever and whenever their interests at stake without due care and attention for human lives other than theirs.

As in Matthew 12.30 of the Gospel "Whoever is not with me is against me and whoever does not gather with me scatters" said Jesus. 

Does it not ring true of the Western powers' convention?

The recent deadly attacks in Paris that killed 17 people by wayward Muslims shows that all is not well between Islam and the West. Many Muslims viewed the West as arrogant, bigoted, domineering, unjust and want to subjugate and dominate the rest of the world.Out of those killed 12 worked for the bigoted magazine called Charlie Hebdo.

The root of the problem between Muslims and the West started over 60 years ago with the creation of the state of Israel as laid out in the Balfour Declaration for the creation of a Jewish state out of Palestinian land.

In 1945 when US President Roosevelt went to see King Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia with the proposal for the creation of a new country for the Jews, King Abdul Aziz told Roosevelt since it was the Germans who committed atrocities against the Jews why not carve a bit of Germany and give it to the Jews. Roosevelt, however, told the King that the US would not intervene without consulting both Arabs and Jews in the region. Soon after, Roosevelt died and the presidency was taken over by Harry Truman.

In the final stage of the Second World War, the US under Truman dropped atomic bombs on two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki that brought the war to an end and the surrender of Japan. Truman, with the new found victory, arrogantly ignored to consul the Arabs and together with the other Western allies went ahead with the creation of Israel in 1948, which spurred the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Many Muslims, particularly, from the Middle East viewed the West as the biggest "munafik" and their own governments as corrupt, incompetent and easily cowed by the West. To correct the injustices, it has become expedient and rest on their shoulders to fight a private war against the West. 

Past wars between Arab states and Israel had been catastrophic for the Arab countries with the Arabs losing more territories to Israel. If right is might instead of might is right, there was no pressure from the Western powers for Israel to return the occupied territories. The West Bank, Gaza and Golan Heights were Arab lands occupied by the Jews till today.

It's OK for them to mock your culture and religion and make fun of your prophet, which they called freedom of expression, but you can't call them White, that's racist!

It's OK if thousands of you Muslims killed by Jews, but you must not be anti-semitic, or say the Holocaust never happened, it's a punishable offence.

The White Man's Burden will continue to crack its whip for world's domination to terrify and purify the half-devil and half-child.

The Western world never seem to learn from their mistakes when come to dealing with the Muslims world. They make one mistake after another. 

They want to impose their way of life on a culture completely alien and opposed to theirs.

Why do fanatical Muslims want to hurt and kill Westerners? 

The story goes since way back to the creation of the state of Israel and Jewish atrocities against Palestinians, the Iraq War, the war in Afghanistan, the Arab Spring to the present Western involvement in the dismantling of Assad of Syria. 

In Syria with the help of the Saudis they again created another monster, ISIS.

The 9/11 attack in the US was the culmination of Muslims anger against the West. The lull was only a calm before the storm. The Muslim ogre has grown bigger, richer, more organised and crueller.

Over the decades the West, with their 'might is right' attitude had cast aspersions on the Muslim world. Many of the attacks on Western targets were retaliations and revenge. The tit-for-tat kind of thing. Thousands of Muslims killed as collateral damage in indiscriminate bombings in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen mean nothing to the West. Muslim lives are cheap and can be done with, but they make a big show out of a few beheading of their own by fanatical Muslims. Fanatical Muslims were appalled with this kind of double standard.

Claims by the US that their weapons have bullseye accuracy were pure fabrication because every attack on so-called terrorist targets killed more innocent bystanders than the target itself.

Muslims also see the West as untrustworthy and horrible user and abuser. The Mujahideens, Saddam Hussien and Al Qaeda, financed and used by them to fight a common enemy have all turned against them.

The attack on the newspaper office purportedly because of a cartoon insulting Mohammad and Islam, is to the attackers the end justifies the means, seemingly trivial to the Westerners but a big insult to some crazy Muslims.

The Paris attack may only just be the beginning. More frequent attacks should be expected coming from ISIS, which have cells in every Western countries.  

Fanatical Muslims who are prepared to die for their cause.

Abu Mohammad al-Adnani, senior leader and official spokesman for ISIS has called on the members to take retribution, to kill without question and by any means necessary civilians and soldiers from the Western alliance.



The world has become a very unsafe place, you don't know where and when they are going to strike.

May I ask this lamed historian has he done any proper research who created the monster ISIS? ... and in the past, the making of Saddam Hussein, the Mujaheedins, Osama and Al-qaeda and the Contras of Nicaragua?

Who are the devils that created these monsters?

ISIS was created by the US, Israel and Britain to destabilise Syria and the whole of the Middle East region using Islam as the bogeyman to sway world's opinion against Islam and Muslims. The Zionist agenda include the extermination of small pockets of Christians to strengthen the doctrine that Islam is an evil religion. Many top brass in ISIS were trained by CIA and Mossad coaxing the use of unspeakable violence against its enemies to instil fear in the population. Killing Christians would give added value to the monstrosity of Islam.

Like everything else the Western powers had created in the past, the monsters they created went out of control and came back to bite them in the asses.

ISiS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was recruited by the CIA after the American released him from Camp Bucca during the Iraqi War and was later trained by the CIA and Mossad to fit their long term plan for the Middle East region.

One should ask why not have the US and its Western allies executed military intervention in Iraq to stop the ISIS advancement?

Even more perplexing, the Iraqi soldiers numbering almost 1.0 million strong trained by the US military have bolted,or were asked not to resist the ISIS advancement in Iraq.

Why?

What happened in Iraq is not Muslims killing Christians, it's Christians sponsored atrocities against Christians, who had become dispensable commodity in furtherance of Israel and Western powers imperialistic agenda for the region.

That's why the West is silent.

Islam is not evil, every level-headed Muslim knows that and it's plain to see there are many stupid Muslims around the world, who are easily cheated and tempted by money and power at the expense of their own religion.

Orang Semenanjung Your Brand Of Islam Not For Sabahans

Holy men, holy women: A look at one kampung in Sabah -

JAN 10 — “Aku nak Islam lama balik. Bukan Islam ini.” (“I want the old Islam back, not the current one.”)

I was in Sabah recently, right smack in a small village of 2,000 people. (I am not naming the village because I feel protective over it.) I was there to assess the socio-economic situation of the village, and after a few days of being viewed as a visitor, my newfound friends finally felt comfortable enough to let their guard down.

We were at the anjung of the homestay I stayed in. A faint scent of the sweet but pungent smell of the palm oil that had muddied the village river drifted over from time to time. The village was quiet; an occasional clanging of kitchen utensils broke up the stillness of the night.

The homestay owner had family visiting her. The conversation was banal at first, and like all conversations, family illnesses, ghosts, the rising cost of living peppered the air. A short acknowledgement about a friend’s death stirred the hornet’s nest: the women became very angry.

The martriach of the family looked hard at the homestay owner, who turned to me to explain.

“We Orang Sungai (the people of the river) have always been Muslim,” she said. “And like the Malays of the Semenanjung (Peninsular Malaysia), we have our customs.”

“The thing is, orang Semenanjung are intent on destroying us.”

The arrival of ulamas (preachers) from the Peninsula over the last few years in Sabah, and especially in the interiors, is tearing apart the social fabric of the villagers.

Young, fresh graduates from Al Azhar University and other Islamic colleges, but with little life experience, these young men come to Sabah, with the intent of righting the villagers.

“Dulu, we could wear henna during weddings but now they say it is haram.”

“We’ve always prayed, but now these tabligh, they come to our houses to check that we pray and tell off our men for praying at home, they must pray in the surau.”

“Friday prayers, yes, men must go but when it’s not Friday, they can pray at home too. So why is it wrong now?”

When there is a death in the village, they have a feast, a kenduri, so the whole village comes as one, to grieve.

“These tabligh, they tell us it’s wrong. But to us it is not wrong – the food goes to people who can’t afford to buy food. The funeral unites us as a village.”

In fact, the homestay owner and her family told me they practised many things that united the village. Solat hajat tolak bala berjemaah (mass prayers to avoid misfortune, illness el al). Prayers for those leaving the village to seek their fortunes elsewhere. Read more.

Are We Going To The Dogs, Literally ?

I still can't get over the arrest of dog trainer Maznah Mohd Yusof for what she did some three years ago. The video must have been there all along until some religious zealots saw it that ignited their ire, ignorance and fanaticism.

For some Muslims dogs are not considered dirty if you handle it according to Islamic rites. My late grandfather and late father,  both devout Muslims kept two large German Shepherd as guard dogs at the house on a farmland up in the country completely isolated from other neighbours. The nearest neighbour was half a mile away. Your best security alarm those days were dogs. No wonder they called dog, a man's best friend.

Never mind that, but how the heck the police was so quick to the gun and arrested her on God knows what ground is beyond comprehension. Was the Home Ministry complicit to the quick action of the police?

It is obvious crime-busting has taken a back seat, more efforts are spent on this kind of inconsequential cases than going after real criminals.

How can the government allow such repugnant action against an innocent girl on such flimsy allegations of insulting the Islamic faith, pandering to a handful of religious zealots, that bespoke culture more than religion.

Welcome to the Muslim World, where cows, horses, camels and women are deemed alike and should be treated as such. 

Was it religion or men who evinced that women are inferior to men?

Was it religion, culture or poverty that necessitates child marriage?

Why was it more prevalent in Islamic societies and less in other societies?

Using PAS Symbol: DAP Biggest "PLOY" To Delude Malay Voters

I'll be laconic about this. No point writing lengthy article that eventually will be lost in translation. 

Why use PAS and not PKR in West Malaysia, and PAS not PKR in Sabah and Sarawak?

It is not difficult to guess.....ain't it....... the ploy to mislead. 

The ROS has confirmed that DAP can still use its symbol as the party had not been deregistered. Why the need to use your coalition partners symbol when you can still legally use your own.

This is DAP biggest "wayang" to delude the kampong Malays into believing they are voting for PAS. 

DAP, well known for its theatric of sadness or outrage, depending whether it's the father or the son, played the usual victim. Lim Kit Siang was seen shedding crocodile tears as if the whole DAP world had fallen apart, when any level-headed person knew DAP is still a full-fuctioning political party and able to use its own symbol. The son was in furious outrage.

Simple kampong folks use the symbol to vote for the party they like and allowing DAP to use PAS symbol will create much confusion in rural/semi-rural areas.

I can foresee a near total rejection of PAS by majority Malay voters likely to happen when they see the DAP ploy and PAS leaders condescending ways. PAS leaders used to call UMNO members "infidels" for associating with Chinese.

Most educated Malays want to believe communal politics is over and done with while the smarter Chinese have formed a cohesive centre-right bloc that will cement Chinese unity and allow DAP to capture most predominantly and marginal Chinese constituencies. The Chinese have learnt the art of divide and rule and giving the Malays a taste of their own medicine, which they have been dispensing to the Chinese and other non-Malay communities for over half a century.

The real war is not in the urban areas but in the rural/semi-rural areas where majority of seats are located and DAP was smart enough to see this godsend opportunity.

Extremis Malis Extrema Remedia, Will Pakatan Lose Badly?

That's Latin for "desperate times call for desperate measures"

Is Pakatan Rakyat going to lose the elections badly and they knew it ?

They are preparing for a "war of attrition" to wear down the people with lies and half-truths of BN plan to cheat in the 13th General Elections. It is the amber that will flame the "Malaysian Spring" advocated by Anwar to bring down the elected government, if he gets his way. 

Many Malaysians do not believe this but all indications point to a high probability of chaos and violence if Pakatan loses the elections. The series of attacks on BN leaders and PM Najib Tun Razak shows their lack of confidence.

The Lahad Datu standoff is telling of their desperation for the people's attention. Instead of closing rank with the government in a matter of national security they chose to resort to all kind of subterfuges, making wild and unsubstantiated allegations and completely disregard their dangerous gameplay.

To kick start the propaganda he recruited Ambiga to form BERSIH under the pretext of demanding free and fair elections. BERSIH has successfully poisoned the minds of many Malaysians with its false and deceitful propaganda, accused massive cheating at the polls by BN in the past and that the BN will again cheat in the 13th GE. 

Now, a Facebook called "I Love New PM", which I suppose must be referring to Anwar has came up with the most stupid propaganda one can imagine, that the BN have issued 2,000,000 I/Cs to foreigners in Selangor and you can laugh your guts out the irony and incongruity of the whole thing, I/Cs with expiry dates.

Would any right thinking Malaysians believe in such ludicrous poppycock? The I/C shown was for temporary residence in Malaysia, but I am pretty sure there are Malaysians stupid enough to believe the story. 

The Facebook was set up either by DAP members or supporters .The Facebook page came with annotation "1,000,000 Chinese dont want MCA to represent the Chinese"

A dead giveaway that it is the handiwork of DAP. 

Here, PKR's biggest braggart and pseudo-intellect Mr Rafizi Ramli desperately trying to debunk the Economist Intelligence Unit prediction of BN winning the 13th GE. The man is all hat and no cattle. Consider himself the brightest rising star in PKR, and a possible threat to Anwar's blue-eyed boy, Azmin Ali.

DAP leaders have misrepresented PAS to the Chinese community as a moderate Islamic party. They have traded in the threat to Chinese culture with their own selfish ambition to gain political power. 

From the few attempts by PAS to impose Islamic values on the Chinese in Kelantan and Kedah, one can safely assume PAS will not abandon its ambition to implement hudud once they get to Putrajaya and I will repeat here once again, what I have written before, the Muslim MPs from UMNO will give their supports to PAS to implement hudud through the backdoor, to punish the Chinese for abandoning them in their hours of need. 

UMNO leaders and many Malays for that matter still think they have been more than benevolent to the Chinese, sharing political power, allowing them to do business freely with the least interference and allowing vernacular schools which they think was a big sacrifice and at the expense of the Malay language, which is also the national language and many tales of young Malaysian Chinese not being able to speak the national language fluently.

There is no need to change the Constitution to enforce mild form of hudud. Mild for the Muslims but not necessary mild for Chinese and other non-Muslims. 

To start with they can  enforce Islamic values through local authorities such as city and municipal councils, which they invariably controlled. 

They can close down entertainment places such as discos, nightclub, bars and ban the sales of alcoholic drinks in designed areas or even the whole country. There is nothing in the Constitution that can stop them from doing so. If anyone can quote me the relevant article in the Constitution regarding this I'll be happy to hear from them. 

I am also looking forward to the eventuality of the day of pork free Malaysia.

Am I trying to scare you? 

No, that's the reality in Malaysia. No one want other religious beliefs or other's ethnic culture to be imposed on them. 

Just as the Malays feel Islam and the name Allah are sacred to them and will fight tooth and nail to preserve its exclusiveness, likewise, the Chinese do not want anything Islamic impose on them.

DAP overlooked the fact that 40% of Chinese are fence-sitters and wait for the wind before they set sail.

At this juncture they all looked ardent supporters of DAP, but should they have the slightest doubt of PAS political agenda, they all may scurry away like rats abandoning a sinking ship.

What The Difference Between Patrick Teoh And Ibrahim Ali ?

Many of you who know me may find it strange that I indulge in writing about religious matter when I am not in any way religious. That's beside the point.The point is, this country may be heading for possible sectarian violence if we don't put a stop to the Allah issue.

As I have always say religion is the mother of all troubles.

Do you see any difference between Patrick Theo and Ibrahim Ali? If one is to see things in the right perspective, Patrick Theo had uttered worst things against Islam than Ibrahim Ali had against Christianity.

Ibrahim Ali's rhetoric was political grandstanding while Patrick Teoh's was pure and unadulterated insult on Islam, derived out of arrogance and chauvinism.

Well, Patrick Theo the motherfucker (a word he is fond of using), here what he said "Encouraged to sing motivational songs. What kind of fucking motivation they want? Give up individuality and be sheep? Pray 5 times a day? Cover up all women? What???"

"And while they are at it, please tell me what the fuck extreme singing and dancing is?"

"Quran thumping motherfuckers!!!"

That, to many Muslims is an insult.

Did you hear big cry out from opposition's leaders asking the police to arrest him or the AG to charge him?

More surprising was the born loser Muslim politician called Zaid Ibrahim who came to his rescue saying he did not insult Islam but his way of articulating his concerns about how Islam is being administered in Malaysia but this was not tantamount to insulting Islam. This joker need to go back to law school.

An insult need not necessary be criminal but still an insult.People have killed each other over racial and religious slur.

Burning the Bible or Quran in the U.S. and many Western countries is not a criminal offence, but saying the "Holocaust" never happened is a criminal offence in some European countries.

What about Anwar Ibrahim, Azmin Ali and the pretenders in PAS who talk so much about protecting and preserving the sanctity of Islam. Where are they when non-Muslims disparage and humiliate their religion. 

Some Malay politicians put political expediency before their faith. There are just too many crooks from both sides of the political divide. They are only concern about status and money.

Now, let me tell you why the Chinese are more successful in whatever they are doing, be it business, education, philanthropy, culture or politics, because when it comes to the crunch the Chinese close ranks toward their common goal.

They have mastered the art of making money for many thousand years, today they want a bigger share of the political cake, to horn their skills in politics to get better representation in Parliament, which absolutely is nothing wrong in our democratic system.

The 13th GE will see the Chinese come together as one under the DAP umbrella, probably, taking the biggest chunk of MP seats leaving the Malays fragmented between PKR, PAS and UMNO.

What goes around comes around, the Malays have had their good time of "divide and rule" for half a century of this country's independence. Now, because of greed, it's their turn to be divided.

Anwar much prefer to let DAP be the leading party rather than PAS, as DAP would make him the prime minister. The straggler among the three coalition partners would be PKR.

It is in Anwar's interest to make sure PAS do not win big, which can wreck his chance of becoming prime minister.

It may not be too far-fetched to think of the unthinkable, that PAS may leave PAKATAN because of the Allah issue.

Malaysia will soon be split right down the middle between Muslims and non-Muslims if this man is allowed to have his way and, likewise, irresponsible politicians who continue raising sensitive issues, every now and then, to bolster their waning popularity. 

Lim Guan Eng resurrection of the Allah issue from the Pandora's Box over the New Year was much of a muchness.

Malaysians are smart enough not to heed calls from these political eunuchs.

Ibrahim Ali is not insane or suffering from some kind of malady, he intellect is very intact, his call for Muslims to burn the Christian Al-Kitab (Bible) was pure political grandstanding. 

He is not Terry Jones who is ignorant, thick in the head and a religious deviant. 

Ibrahim Ali knows exactly what he was doing and that his grandstanding was to attract attention of his waning popularity among level-headed Muslims, who think he is a wacko, the only assumption one can make of his strange behaviour.

It is best to ignore this man and don't give him the light of day.

The Christians in Sabah and Sarawak will be keeping their option open and will be watching closely PAS political direction after the dissolution of Parliament. Further erosion may come during the campaign period if PAS grim persistence continued.

KOTA BARU: Non-Muslims support for Pakatan Rakyat has dipped in the past five months due to the actions and policies of PAS and DAP, said the PAS Supporters Congress.

Its outspoken chairman, Hu Phang Chaw, said the support dwindled following a series of events, which has left a bitter after-taste among the non-Muslim community.

“We cannot outrightly proclaim it as we have yet to conduct a proper study, but one must be brave to admit that support has eroded due our inability to manage issues well.”

He cited the local authorities in Kelantan banning women from cutting the hair of male patrons and the move to slap non-Muslims with charges similar to khalwat as examples.

He also pointed out to the insensitivity of the Kedah government for enforcing restrictions and conditions on cultural shows during the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Another example he gave was DAP’s secretary-general Lim Guan Eng’s Christmas Day message reviving the useage of the word “Allah” among Christians.Read more.

Is this the kind of government you want?

Cannot make up their minds. Vacillating back and forth!.....on issue of immense national importance,  
confusing both Muslims and Christians with their now you can, now you cannot fatwa...... not based on religious tenancy but on political expediency.

Nik Aziz is the biggest chicken and should be stripped of his ulamak status for misleading Christians and Muslims in the country and giving in to demand of political expediency......just because PAS found out, of late, that the Malays may dump them in the 13th GE because of the Allah controversy.

PAS is getting greater support from non-Muslims, particularly Chinese DAP supporters than Malay Muslims because of their stand that Christians can use the word Allah in the Bible. With the new development things may change.

Here, he said "voters who make the wrong choice in the general election will have to answer for their decision in the hereafter"

"Rest assured, every part of the body, including the hand that voted, will be witness on Judgement Day," the Kelantan Mentri Besar said in his New Year message.

"Don't make the wrong choice" he warned.

I have not been wrong about the dithering leadership of this bunch of strange bedfellows, some on the verge of nervous breakdown, because they can't make any sense. 

What Nik Aziz says is certainly not in the Koran, nor does it apply to non-Muslims, which have different afterlife, or non at all.

Last month, the slightly deranged Lim Guan Eng "wag the dog" in his New Year message asking the government to allow Christians to use "Allah" in the Bible, an issue that have quietened down, which he saw fit to resurrect from the Pandora'a Box for political expediency.

I have attended Church many time for friends funeral service and all I can hear is the repetitive use of the word "Lord" in church, never was "Allah" used in its English service. 

In spoken language most Malay speaking Christians use "Tuhan kita"

Why is PAS making an about turn on the issue and give the Christians a half-empty cup, which is not what they wanted?

Is The Church Playing Politics?

This is a sensitive subject among Muslims and Christians.

As always it is the Abrahamic religions that caused turmoils and segregation of the human race more than any other religion, be it Islam, Christianity or Judaism, they all shared a harrowing and brutal past. They still could not see eye to eye and bent on destroying each other.

All three religions came from the same root and shared many of the same prophets, but the mistrust, distrust and hostility among the theocrats, the hypocrites and among the pretenders of religious piety had been the mother of many holy wars, religious violence, genocides and pogroms. 

The Nazi's Holocaust and the Russian pogroms of the Jews in Europe stemmed out of ethnic and religious prejudice and bigotry are well documented in the history books, which, unfortunately, had not been made into textbooks in schools to teach the younger generations not to make the same mistakes as their forefathers. 

I am going to express my opinion on the issue and controversy of using the word "Allah" as conscientious as possible, without pride and prejudice. 

Though I am a Muslim I do believe the word Allah is not strictly confined to Muslims, as in the Arab worlds, the Arab Christians also used Allah to refer to their God, but that's where it ends. 

Why would the Christians in Malaysia be adamant in using the word Allah as their God, they are not Arab Christians.

In Sabah, as far as I can remember for yonks the Malay speaking Christian Kadazans and Dusuns have been using "Tuhan" to refer to their God. Even we Muslims, except the pretenders and hypocrites, occasionally, used the word "Tuhan" to refer to "Allah" in our daily conversation. As I speak English at home with my family, I tend use the word "God" more often than Allah. Would that makes me less Muslim and a sinner? It is the intention that matters, the word is just another proper noun.

In Judaism, the Hebrew word for God is "Yahweh" used in the Bible, but hardly spoken as the Jews think it is too sacred to be flogged around. Just as much as the Muslims revered the Koran as a sacred book and view any desecration of the Koran as unforgivable grave mortal sin, likewise, the Jews believe Yahweh should only stay in the Scripture.  

Allah is synonymous name for the "Almighty", why fret so much over which one you should use? Would you be less Christian if you use Tuhan, or less Muslim if you use God?

The word "Allah" came into widespread use in Malaysia when the Christian church started importing Bibles from Indonesia for the Malay speaking Christians. 

Christianity is a minority religion in Indonesia and the faithful are Malay speaking, hence, the Dutch had to introduce Bibles in the Malay language for the Christian converts. The Old and New Testaments were translated into Malay by two Dutchman named Melchior Leiddekker and Peter Vander Vorm. There have been many other earlier partial translations by other authors, but the complete works were done by the two.

As you can well judge it is not the Christians in the streets that are making all the noises, most are quite happy with "God" for the English speaking and "Tuhan" for the Malay speaking. Some Christians, particularly the English speaking ones find it repulsive to use "Allah" as their God, but no one wants to speak out as the Church had gone to the fore to challenge the government on its usage. 

It is the problem with all religions, once you challenge a religious edict, no matter, for good or for bad, you would be ostracised. In Islam you would immediately be branded a murtad, an apostate. Christianity, viewed apostasy in slighly different light today, as compared to 500-600 years ago.

It is the religious and political leaders from both sides of the two faiths that have caused this perturbing issue by turning it into a national dispute and politicians jumping on the bandwagon using it for political mileage and expediency. 

As I see it, both sides are politicising the issue at the expense of the people.It was never a major issue before and I don't quite understand why is the Church adamant on its usage in the Bible. 

In my family we have Christians, Buddish and non-believer relatives through inter-marriages and religions had never been an issue.There is great mutual respect for each other religion and we don't even talk about it when we meet at gatherings.  

Would the Christian God be less divine if it is called "Tuhan"? I don't know. Maybe, my good Catholic priest friend should tell me.

Somebody, told me the other day it is about freedom of religion and freedom of worship, which got me a little confused. 

Malaysia did not ban Christianity or any other religion as you can see from the number of churches and temples in the country and its congregations. If anything to go by it should be Muslims, who should be angry with the government as the government has banned Shiaism, which is considered one of the branches of mainstream Islam and nip in the bud deviant sects that mushroomed from time to time, which have saved this country from act of terrorism by religious extremists.

There should be sense and sensibility on this issue, the argument that if the Arabs used it for both religions, we must follow suit, is really not holding water.

Here, the Church is questioning the Sultan of Selangor decree on the use of Allah in his state. 

Here, the Protestant Church says it will, in spite of the ban, continue the use of Allah in the Malay language Bible as they have been using it for centuries.

A Little Knowledge Is A Dangerous Thing

The war of nerves between two forces of over-exaggerated pietism. Islam has become a cause celebre of Malaysian politics. Even non-Muslims are coming out with their unpolished knowledge of Islam. 

Here's one from a chauvinist dickhead who thinks he knows the Koran and the Constitution equally well to make the Constitution more supreme for the Muslims than the Koran. No one can make head and tail of his snafu, a withered and floppy creative writing. 

I have been abroad for almost two weeks, off the beaten track, where Internet connections have been erratic, sluggish or non-existence and sourly missed the excitement of Malaysia's puerile politics. 

Malaysian politicians from both sides of the political divide should have been clowns in the circus or court jesters in the royal palaces. They spent more time on meaningless trivia than on matters of fundamental national interest.

The uproar,  this time,  a controversy over Anwar Ibrahim's daughter Nurul Izzah's version of Islam. Both sides claimed polymathic understanding of the religion and competing to be the champion. Malaysia would soon have new hadiths written by these heretics. 

"There is no compulsion in Islam" what is the true meaning of this phrase in the Koran?

I must profess I am not most knowledgable in the religion, but from my understanding, learning it from my grandfather, who is highly respected for his indepth knowledge of Islam during his living years.......it simply means Islam or Muslims should not compel or force non-Muslims to convert to Islam. Conversion should be by the person own free will. It has nothing to do with allowing Muslims the freedom of choice.

Nurul Izzah's version, which I believe was misconstrued and twisted for political mileage was probably not what she intended to convey..... that Muslims can convert to other religion. Even if she thinks so, right or wrong, it's merely her opinion and one should just consider her wet behind the ears and not politicise Islam solely for the purpose of gaining political mileage.

Without any doubt there are many hypocrites in UMNO, but more dangerous are the bigger hypocrites in PAS playing the same political fire of using Islam to gain political mileage among rural Malays and are prepared to twist and turn the true meaning of Islam whenever it suits their political agenda.
